The partnership between BCT & AMTZ will focus on work for PwDs for artificial limbs, entrepreneurship development & supporting local farmers and women. At Gokiwada village Sri Lowambika Rythu Club committee met the Community Action Group (CAG) members. They discussed about loans and savings, admissions into BCT ITI program and BCT Residential High school, micro business and self employment initiatives and bhajan programs. Such meetings enable village residents to keep a tab on local issues and find timely solutions.

Festivals For Joy (FFJ) and North America Telugu Society (NATS) came together to raise a scale-up grant for 23 women entrepreneurs of rural Andhra Pradesh via the WEswasam initiative. Mr. Sri Ram Bhagavatula, GIC’s Founding CEO met Mr. Prashanth Pinamaneni, Chaiman NATS, and Mr. Raj Allada, Board & EC member of NATS at the residence of Mrs. Suma Kanakala, Founder FFJ, in Hyderabad yesterday. The Community Action Group and Rythu club members of Vemagiri village came together with BCTs Community Organizers to discuss about issues in the village and find solutions. They spoke about the initiatives of bhajan program, farmers issues, and Vijaya Homam that is held by BCT for students in villages appearing for tenth board exams. Discussions regarding savings, micro-business development training programs for rural women, and aspects related to farming were discussed as well. These regular meetings ensure that the local issues are addressed on time through group participation, thereby ensuring the progress of the village.
