Financial resilience isn’t just about access—it’s about lasting financial agency. A randomized post-training survey of 1,350 women in the Self Shakti program (Inner Strength Financial literacy training) reveals: 89% of women now have personal savings—up from just 55% before training. Savings increased by 125% in just 1.5 years, with monthly savings rising from ₹1,172 to ₹2,639 per woman. These numbers reflect more than financial inclusion—they signal a fundamental shift in control. When knowledge meets lived realities, financial habits change. And when women save, they gain the power to plan, invest, and secure their futures. This isn’t just about financial inclusion—it’s about what comes after. How do we move beyond access to ensure long-term behavior change? These numbers tell us it’s possible. #WomenAndMoney #FinancialInclusion #BuzzWomen #SelfShakti #ImpactThatScales #GrassrootsFinance

Katacorr is a vibrant community in the Fonis on the West Coast of The Gambia, this year we are passionately doing our Dimba Nyima Kachaa Program. This transformative program seeks to cultivate the leadership skills of Anchor Women, who are independently elected after each Financial Literacy session (Fangdema Kachaa). It unites women leaders from the same locality, encouraging them to address community issues with a holistic approach and inspiring discussions that lead to self-driven solutions for the pressing challenges they face. Moreover, the program empowers these women leaders, boosting their confidence to engage with vital authorities such as Alkalos, ward councilors, VDC members, and policymakers to reach goals that may seem out of reach. 💚 Women don’t need one day of recognition. They need space, resources, and the freedom to lead on their own terms. For generations, women have been leading climate action—not as an add-on, but as the foundation of sustainability itself. They have protected water, grown food, restored soil, and built local economies—not as an exception, but as the rule. Yet, when decisions are made about climate, women are excluded from policies, underfunded in solutions, and left out of leadership spaces. The problem isn’t that women need to be included in climate leadership. The problem is that climate leadership has never caught up with what women have already been doing. This Women’s Day, we are not just celebrating women—we are making sure their leadership is seen. ✨ We’re proud to share that the Buzz Green Documentary has been selected for the Mumbai Short & Documentary Film Festival! This isn’t just about a film—it’s about making sure that women’s voices in climate action aren’t confined to their own communities but take their place on the global stage. Because the future of sustainability isn’t about bringing women in. It’s about realizing they’ve been here all along. This documentary came to life with the initiative of Climate Rise Alliance (CRA) and Dasra, who brought in the resources to bring these stories into existence. Their role in amplifying women-led climate solutions has been invaluable, and we’re grateful for this collaboration. So this Women’s Day, let’s stop asking how to get women involved. Let’s start asking: What does the world look like when we finally follow their lead? 🌱 Drop a 🌱 if you believe in women-led climate action—because the solutions we need have always been here. https://lnkd.in/g9A9DrQa #WomenForClimate #InternationalWomensDay #BuzzGreen #SustainabilityInAction #MumbaiFilmFestival #ClimateLeadership #ClimateRiseAlliance #Dasra

At Buzz Women, Women’s Day isn’t a one-day event—it’s a reflection of the work we do all year round. Each year, we celebrate across districts, one gathering at a time, one conversation at a time, one woman at a time. And we’re not done yet! Our celebrations are still unfolding across villages and towns, bringing together Gelathies (Community Anchors), Green Motivators, Vyaparis, and local leaders to create spaces where women: 💡 Converse about financial resilience, sustainability, and community participation 🌱 Share their experiences and leadership journeys 🌿 Step forward with confidence, knowing they are part of something bigger At the heart of this are the Gelathis or community anchors in our network—women who have completed the Spoorthi Fellowship and now nurture other women in their villages. These are women who have walked this path towards change themselves, strengthening their confidence and becoming a resource for their communities. They don’t just participate in change; they own it. This is how we celebrate each year. And more importantly, this is why we keep showing up—so that knowledge, confidence, and opportunity reach every woman, right where she is. 📸 Swipe through for glimpses of this journey in motion. #WomensDay #BuzzWomen #WomenAtTheCentre #FinancialLiteracy #ClimateAction #GenderJustLeadership

She is very uncompromising when it comes to her business. She spends her money lavishly as she earns it, without saving. This is Sirrah Jallow from Kiang Kwinella, located in the Lower River region of The Gambia. Like many women we've encountered in over 888 groups across 600 communities, Sirrah is strong and hard-working. She wishes to share her experience with the only mobile school on wheels in The Gambia. Our mission is to amplify voices and contribute to a more balanced society by inspiring women worldwide, enabling them to transform their lives and the communities they inhabit. We envision a world where men and women coexist in equality and harmony. Watch to learn more from Sirrah and her unique insights. #Gambia #women #gambianwomen #empowerment #growth #confidence Fatou TourayJelmah FateemaNgoneh Jagne

The true cost of financial illiteracy is often invisible until it’s too late. Without access to financial knowledge, women face risks that go beyond missed savings or delayed opportunities. Many rely on informal loans because formal systems feel inaccessible or unfamiliar. Medical emergencies become crises when savings plans aren’t in place. Women work tirelessly, but without knowledge of how to grow their income, progress remains stagnant. At Buzz Women, we’ve seen how even the smallest financial tools—like tracking daily expenses or saving with a specific goal in mind—create a ripple effect that transforms lives. When women learn to manage money, they aren’t just planning for survival—they’re building futures for themselves and their families. What’s one financial habit you believe can spark long-term change? Let’s discuss.
