 This World Sight Day, our partner hospitals and inclusive vision centers were filled with creativity and joy! 🎨 Children enthusiastically participated in a vibrant painting competition at the Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital, Madhya Pradesh. At Little Flower Eye Hospital and Research Centre, Kerala, children creatively assembled to form eye-shaped patterns, while at Joseph Eye Hospital, Trichy, little ones dipped their hands into paint buckets and adorned the walls with their tiny handprints. This World Sight Day, we're proud to highlight our ongoing partnership with Standard Chartered under their 'Seeing is Believing' initiative and our shared commitment to combat avoidable blindness in India. Our program's Inclusive Vision Centers, spread across seven states, are strategically located to reach the last mile. But these centers are more than just clinics; they are hubs of empowerment, ensuring quality, affordable, and accessible eye health services for all, including persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups. Our impact speaks for itself: 👉🏽 15.8+ lakh people screened  👉🏽 96,000+ cataract surgeries supported  👉🏽 122 Inclusive Vision Centers across India, with 42% of them managed by women    To mark World Sight Day, we conducted eye screenings for over 200 children in our Doddaballapur and Jigani communities. Students celebrated with creative activities: an eye health awareness rally in Doddaballapur and a fun photo session with handmade paper spectacles in Jigani.  We extend our heartfelt thanks to Standard Chartered for their invaluable support in making these initiatives possible. It’s time to pledge to love your eyes! As we roll into our World Sight Day series, we’re excited to share the success of a recent eye screening camp we conducted for students at a girls' government school in Bengaluru, in partnership with our donor George Clinical! We screened over 420 children and recommended the parents of those who needed additional care to visit our Inclusive Vision Center for support. A huge shout out to the wonderful George Clinical volunteers who helped our team during the screenings and organized an engaging session on nutrition and hygiene, inspiring the students to take better care of their eyes and overall health. Thanks to a hearing aid distribution organized as part of one of our program, he's now thriving both in and out of the classroom. It’s like a new world opened up for him; he’s more confident, more active, and more excited about the future. He’s discovered many hidden talents, like drumming at school and community events, dancing, singing, and playing Kabbaddi!
