Naveen Namboothri from Dakshin Foundation, along with other experts, will be speaking at Strengthening India’s Coastal Resilience: From Evidence to Action, a panel discussion followed by a report launch on 25th February at Dasra Philanthropic Week in Bangalore. With rising sea levels posing a growing threat to India’s 7,500 km coastline, significant data and evidence gaps remain in understanding their impact on coastal ecosystems. Organised by the ClimateRISE Alliance, this discussion will bring together grassroots organisations and philanthropic leaders to address these gaps and spotlight localised climate challenges.

The Andaman and Nicobar Environment Team (ANET) of Dakshin Foundation has been honored with the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Excellence Award 2025 by the Navodhaya Foundation for its remarkable contributions to education and conservation. The award ceremony, held at the Tagore Government College Auditorium, celebrated excellence in diverse fields, including sports, arts, culture, health, and social service. Shri Chandra Bhushan Kumar, Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar islands, graced the event as the Chief Guest, emphasising the importance of recognising outstanding efforts to inspire societal progress. The evening concluded on a high note with vibrant cultural performances by children and the presentation of the Young Achiever Awards, leaving the audience inspired and motivated. It was truly a memorable celebration of talent, dedication, and meaningful contributions!
