Had a productive interaction on Budget 2024-25 with a dynamic gathering that included representatives from diverse organisations, industry stakeholders & students at Dr. Homi Bhabha State University, Mumbai. It was wonderful to explain how the budget, envisioned by PM Narendra Modi ji & FM Nirmala Sitharaman ji, caters to every section of society with the objective of strengthening the Indian economy. Some of the key aspects related to Budget that I highlighted were: 🔶 Focus on creating even more employment opportunities for our youth, thereby laying a strong foundation for achieving the 'Viksit Bharat by 2047' vision. 🔶 Emphasis on industrial & infrastructure development having a multiplier effect on national growth & prosperity. 🔶 Boosting agricultural productivity & supporting MSMEs, leading to significant developments in Maharashtra along with other states. 🔶 Significantly promoting employment opportunities for women, hence fostering inclusive growth. 🔶 Enhancing Ease of Doing Business & Ease of Living, benefiting the common citizens of the country. 🔶 Uplifting those who have been left behind to ensure equitable growth.

Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi aims to make India a top destination for investments and innovation. The government, with key stakeholders, is enhancing India's appeal for foreign investments and trade. From 2014 to 2019, India rose 79 ranks in The World Bank’s Doing Business Report, from 142 to 63. In 2023, the World Bank launched the Business Ready (B-Ready) Assessment, evaluating the entire life cycle of a firm. India, led by DPIIT, prepared for 10 months with an Inter-Ministerial Committee and Joint Working Groups. Ease of Doing Business (EoDB_India, GoI) held a workshop on the B-Ready Framework in Mumbai to foster dialogue and suggest reforms in trade and financial services. Invest India Startup India
