Building the capacities at the grassroot  NITI Aayog signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) with the Piramal Foundation to accelerate the development of Aspirational Districts and Aspirational Blocks through strengthening local collaboration and community-led governance. The partnership was formalised in the presence of Shri BVR Subrahmanyam, CEO, NITI Aayog and Sh. Ajay Piramal, Chairman, Piramal Group. This partnership aims for improvement in health, education, and water sector’s developmental outcomes through responding to hyper-local specific needs and improvement in service delivery. NITI Aayog organised the 19th NITI In-house lecture series on 'World Energy Outlook and Scenarios' in Rang Bhawan Auditorium, All India Radio, New Delhi today. Mr. Tim Gould, Chief Energy Economist, IEA joined as the speaker for the session. IEA’s World Energy Outlook, published annually, provides detailed information on global sources of #energy and projections. It identifies and explores trends in energy demand and supply, as well as implications for energy security, emissions, and #economicdevelopment. The seminar featured valuable insights from the latest World Energy Outlook. It also focused on the implications of these scenarios for India's energy policies and strategies. WEP, an initiative incubated in NITI Aayog and now operating as a PPP, is dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs by addressing six key ecosystem needs. During the inaugural session of the National Workshop on "Reimagining Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS) Scheme for 2030", Smt. Annpurna Devi, Minister of Women & Child Development, highlighted that ICDS is one of the largest service delivery programs and 2025 marks 50 years of its completion. It presents as a valuable opportunity to celebrate its achievements and also to lead discussions on ways to strengthen it further. Dr. Vinod K. Paul, Member, NITI Aayog presented the outline of the journey of ICDS, its achievements, challenges, and areas for future focus, followed by Sh. Fiscal Health Index 2025: A cornerstone in India's economic framework! Hon’ble Chairman of the 16th Finance Commission, Dr. Arvind Panagariya launched the inaugural issue of FHI 2025 today in the presence of Sh. Suman Bery, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, Dr. Arvind Virmani, Member of NITI Aayog, Sh. BVR Subrahmanyam, CEO, NITI Aayog, Dr. Anoop Singh, Distinguished Fellow, NITI Aayog, and other senior officials at NITI Aayog. The Fiscal Health Index report will be an annual publication focusing on the fiscal health of Indian states, offering data-driven insights that will be leveraged for informed state-level policy interventions to improve overall fiscal governance, economic resilience, and stability of the nation. This report provides a comprehensive assessment of the fiscal health of 18 major States, based on five key sub-indices: Quality of Expenditure, Revenue Mobilisation, Fiscal Prudence, Debt Index, and Debt Sustainability. Reinforcing the Economic Landscape of #Gujarat! The Gujarat Rajya Institution for Transformation (GRIT) collaborated with NITI Aayog to organize a workshop, "Growth Hubs: Preparing Economic Plans for Gujarat’s Economic Regions" in Gandhinagar today. The workshop aims to spearhead the #development of other economic regions of Gujarat by replicating the Economic Plan of the Surat Economic Region (SER). The workshop highlighted the baselining exercise for district officials. In addition, Ms. Anna Roy, (Programme Director, Managing Urbanisation), NITI Aayog shared valuable insights on the G-hub initiative framework.
