CALL FOR ADHOC FACULTY- CHEMISTRY Job Title: Recruitment of two Ad-hoc Faculty having M.Sc. in Organic chemistry and PhD degree in Organic Synthesis, Natural Product Synthesis, Synthetic Methodology, Asymmetric Synthesis, Medicinal Chemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry, or related fields. Qualifications: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry & Ph.D. in Organic Synthesis with reputed institute, with a research focus on Natural Product Synthesis, Synthetic Methodology, Asymmetric Synthesis, Medicinal Chemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry, or related fields. Responsibilities: Conducting lectures and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Engaging in research activities within the specified areas of expertise. Contributing to curriculum development and academic programs. Mentoring students in research projects and academic pursuits. Collaborating with fellow faculty members and participating in departmental activities. Requirements: Strong academic background in Organic Chemistry. Research publications in reputable journals. Teaching or research experience is desirable. Ability to work collaboratively in an academic setting. Yesterday on 13th April 2024, Saturday. First year MSc. Chemistry students of Department of Chemistry - PDEU of Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Riddhish V. along with Kartik Dave, Harsh Rabadiya, Ravi Parmar and Akshit Tarapara, Got chance to attend an event "ACS IGNITION" at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar , which was organized by American Chemical Society, and well managed and anchored by Deepika Khasa - President, Tarisha Gupta maam and other team members of ACS Student Chapter IIT Gandhinagar. The event contained the following things: 1. Talks by esteemed invited speakers. 2. A student-engaging quiz. 3. Poster presentation (for MSc's, M Tech's & Ph.D's) Covered the following topics: Chemical Biology, Energy & Sustainability, Synthetic methodology for organic transformation, Natural product synthesis, Nanotechnology, Computational Chemistry, Dye & Pigments.

On 21st March 2023 Thursday, MSc. Chemistry students of Department of Chemistry - PDEU got opportunity to attend Workshop and Training on "CAS Scifinder for academic research" by Mr. Milind Wagh, Principal Account Manager, ACSI India Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Sangram Gokhale. Also received a gift on winning a small quiz game arranged by them 🎉. Now we all are able to : • Search for organic/inorganic/biological substances/metals/polymers etc. and all its relevant literature. • Conduct comprehensive patent searching, accessing the information from patents. • Reactions/Processes – Design the scheme or scaffold of your choice (Predicted Retrosynthesis) • Assess the novelty of your idea/scaffold.
