This year, Dot Media welcomed Lord Ganesha into our studio for the second time, continuing a tradition that’s quickly become our fave. Our team isn’t just colleagues—we’re family. From the moment Bappa entered our space, the vibes were unmatched, full of warmth, devotion, and festive joy, with clients and loved ones joining in to seek blessings. For the one and a half days Bappa was with us, He was never left alone. Our Dot fam made sure the energy was always high, whether during poojas, aartis, or games like dumb charades. We all bonded through these moments, making the celebration even more unforgettable. The atmosphere was all about unity and joy, deepening our already strong connection. Everyone was fully involved, from work buddies to family, turning the studio into a space of pure festive feels. As visarjan approached, emotions were at an all-time high. Saying goodbye to Bappa was a deeply moving moment for all of us, a mix of gratitude and bittersweet farewells. This tradition has now become a core part of Dot Media’s culture, reminding us of the love, care, and tight-knit bond that makes our team feel more like family.

By 2029, spending on influencer marketing is expected to reach $56 billion, a 60% increase from 2024. With influencers becoming a larger part of marketing strategies, more than half of brands now allocate over 20% of their budgets to this type of marketing. This shift is happening because nearly half of all consumers trust influencers as much as they did six months ago, and about 30% trust them even more now. This trust leads to sales, making influencer marketing a smart investment. However, it also comes with risks, especially if a partnership goes wrong. A survey from Q2 2024 by Sprout Pulse shows that 87% of consumers expect influencers to speak out on causes that match their values, which adds complexity to these relationships. Here’s how to ensure you meet your audience’s expectations: 1. Understand what values and issues matter to your audience. For example, 42.5% of consumers will unfollow an influencer if their content doesn’t align with their values. 2. Work with your legal team to create brand safety guidelines. These might include avoiding certain behaviors in influencer content or including legal disclaimers. 3. Go beyond just looking at follower count and engagement. Study the influencer’s audience demographics, past collaborations, and content types. Collaborate with your legal team to finalize your choices. 4. Be prepared for potential problems. Your crisis plan should include possible risk scenarios, a crisis team, influencer coordination, and legal advice to keep things under control. These strategies will help keep your campaign on track and deliver the ROI you’re aiming for. How are you ensuring your campaign’s safety? P.S. - Below picture profile links in the first comment.

What's the best way to calculate the ROI of a campaign? Honestly, We don't have a single answer. In our opinion, no one methodology is a "one size fits all". It totally depends on the campaign's goals and the stage of the business. However, in the industry today, there are 3 primary ways to calculate the ROI of an influencer marketing campaign: Pure sales: For a few, immediate conversions might be the goal. Brands with short customer journeys or those offering significant discounts do well in driving immediate sales. In this case, trackable links with analytics or promo codes do the best job. Brand Awareness: A primary goal, many brands miss out on, is building familiarity and recall with the audience, which pays off long-term. Brands with high order value or long sales cycles should ideally look at this metric. Tangibly, this includes impressions, brand search volume, traffic to the website, and even brand mentions on social media. Brand Engagement: Beyond the layer of creating or improving brand awareness, brands also might want to inspire some engagement from the audience. In fact, this metric, which includes comments, saves, subscriber growth, and even cost per engagement, helps you forecast the growth of the brand over time! Also called the 'hero metric', btw! What is the ROI metric that best suits your brand? Let us know in the comments!

We don't think marketers discuss this enough, but – Influencer marketing is better than performance marketing any day. Sure, we are an influencer marketing agency, but let's discuss unbiased insights for a while. On a daily basis, we see many founders and marketers worrying about whether they should focus on performance marketing or influencer marketing. And we think it's a no-brainer; here are 3 reasons why: Better ROI - If numbers speak for themselves, research suggests that businesses make $6.50 in revenue, on average, for every $1 spent on influencer marketing. Performance marketing, on the other hand, yields a return of 5:1 on average, meaning businesses make $5 for every $1 spent. Not surprisingly, the top-performing brands (around 13% of the total) even earn a minimum of $20 for every $1 spent. Beyond the numbers - Apart from driving immediate conversions, influencer marketing offers a more holistic view of brand impact. Especially in the case of influencers known for their authenticity, it's easy for them to "influence" brand sentiment and social mentions. In fact, rather than the ad dying down after the initial boost, influencer returns are comparatively long-term and take time to gradually subside. Better recall through Storytelling - Influencers weave narratives that resonate with their audience, seamlessly integrating brands into their content in an authentic manner. This is more relatable to consumers in a way that pure performance marketing often struggles to achieve. Furthermore, multiple sources, including our own experience working with X+ influencers and X+ brands, suggest around 6 key factors that further boost influencer marketing engagement by an additional 16%. And that's definitely a story for another day soon! But what has your experience been in your industry? Which “performs” (no pun intended :) better - influencer marketing or performance marketing?

Today,Dot Media is a completely bootstrapped company. And here’s why we choose to keep it that way – In the past few years, Dot Media, as a business, has grown exponentially year-on-year. Eventually, we received offers from multiple investors. But our answer was always a simple "no." "But why not, Shubham?" many asked! You see, coming from a business family, I wanted to stick to the very fundamentals of building a business – being profitable from day 1💸 But bootstrapping wasn't just a choice. It was our modus operandi. Given that we were a cash-flow business from day 1, we grew incrementally, in a phased manner. I’ve always believed in structured growth over rapid growth because, honestly, business is no overnight success! Usually, when there are investors on board, there's very little room to follow your instincts rather than making seemingly financially-sound decisions. Trust me, there have been instances where I just went with my gut instinct, and those were some of the BEST decisions I've ever made for Dot Media. I really don't think we'd fit the mold of "an investors' way of working," anyway. Here’s to growth, with no limits!🚀

AND HERE WE ARE! Dot Media is entering the live event scene with our First Techno Gig in Mumbai with the one and only RAFAEL CERATO. The Aix-en-Provence/Marseille based Rafael Cerato is known for blending emotional and percussive sounds with rolling and powerful basslines, adding his own vocals and guitar with a touch of New Wave, Dark Disco synth vibes. This particular event is very close to our hearts because we have been planning this for a long time and a huge shoutout to Namrata Padia for making this happen. Need all the love and blessings for this one! Checkout the ticket link in the bio. Zomato Simran Harjai

What is it that you do exactly? This is the question that I've answered numerous times at most gatherings. We at Dot Media answer this in the most simplest way possible, we are in the business of building relevance. This is what we try to do for everyone we manage here and for ourselves as well in the process. We onboarded 'Gravero' as an artist two years back, at that time we were just cubs in the business of music and music marketing, he was groomed with all grit and care for these two years by Yogesh Bajpai & Namrata Padia. After polishing his craft for many months on a stretch, he got a chance to collaborate with 'ALAN WALKER' and all of us here had our 'Tada' moment, we couldn't have been more happier than this. Team Dot Media - Mariya Jamal, Pranav Nigam, Isha Bansal, Aatif Tida, Sourabh Goel & Aslam Shareef It couldn't have been possible without constant help from Sarthak Arora Take my word he is just getting started and we are the one who are cheering for him the loudest. Cutting edge with the world of hardcore music listeners and discoverers with our most celebrated IP - Good Vibes Tribe being launched in “faith” first and then partnership with Dot Media. The team at Universal Music Group and the marketing mavericks at Dot came together last year to co-create this beautiful community of music listeners and discoverers from the digital world. # We’ve seen the world picking up on pop-culture trends, curating mashups, making new genres of music, recreating music and trends in a way that was unknown to so many of us. # The Good Vibes Tribe (as the name simply suggests) brought these miraculously good energies compelling people through music together to allow them to have the “first listen” to unreleased tracks, meet-up with the artists, know the industry in and out, celebrate on trends and much more. # Our core belief has always been concrete on the grounds that we don’t sell music, we let it be discovered and enjoyed by those it reaches. The Good Vibes Tribe is a community of music lovers across personalities, genres, races, regions etc. They have been *digital drivers of music* for artists across the world! We bring together people to talk about music, celebrate music, enjoy budding artists and grow their community beyond any societal differences! Special Thanks to the entire team Shantanu Gangane Adrian Lobo Neryska Ana Crasto who are making this whole thing pay off!
