FADA Jammu's Representation Leads to Tax Relief for State Dealers FADA Jammu Chapter Chairperson, Mr Sanjay Aggarwal, along with fellow dealers, met Mr Omar Abdullah, Hon’ble Chief Minister of J&K, to discuss the issue of unauthorized vehicle sales in the State. Acting on the concerns raised, the CM, in his Budget Speech, announced that an additional 3% tax will be levied on all vehicles purchased from outside J&K, effective 1st April 2025. *FADA GenX Delegation Embarks on a 3-Day Dealership Learning Visit in Kochi* A delegation of 18 members from FADA GenX, led by its Chairperson Mr Rishabh Sanghi, undertook a 3-day dealership visit to Popular Vehicles in Kochi. The visit included interactions with the faculty and students of Kuttukaran Polytechnic College and the Institute of HRD, a full-day session at Popular’s Corporate Office engaging with functional heads across various departments, a visit to their 160-member Customer Relationship Center, and a tour of Nippon Toyota, one of India’s largest Toyota dealerships. This enriching experience provided the delegation with valuable insights into large-scale dealership operations, opportunities to exchange best practices, and strengthen their camaraderie. 5 Years Ago, While India Banged Thaalis…FADA Fought in Silence. March 23/24, 2020 — the country stood still under Janata Curfew. But in the multiple rounds of virtual Supreme Court hearings, FADA was in its fiercest battle — fighting for the registration of BS4 vehicles and the survival of our dealer fraternity and lakhs of family members of our dealership staff via Writ Petition No. 13029 of 1985 in the matter of M. C. Mehta Vs Union Of India & Others. In a bold move, FADA shared pan-India dealer data — member and non-member — that too multiple times with new data demands in every hearing, coming from the Honourable Court with our neck on the line, risking everything to protect everyone. A salute to the bold leadership of the then Office Bearers team including President Ashish Harsharaj Kale, Vice President Vinkesh Gulati, Secretary Manish Raj Singhania & Treasurer C.S. Vigneshwar, backed by the then Governing Council and to our FADA Secretariat who became the war room behind the scenes. BIG Thanks to our legal team: - Mr. K. V.
