The events brought together artisans, craftsmen, and microentrepreneurs supported under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. #TeamGeM held interactive sessions and carried out an extensive registration drive to onboard the PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries on the GeM platform. Through this collaboration, GeM reaffirmed its commitment to promoting ‘Vocal for Local’ and self-reliance in the Indian manufacturing ecosystem. Shri Prakash Mirani, Additional CEO, GeM, was invited as an esteemed speaker at the DAE Vigilance Conclave 2024, held last week at the Homi Bhabha Convention Centre, Hyderabad. The event brought together thought leaders and officials to promote integrity and transparency in governance. During his session on "Key Features of GeM & its Utilities in the Prevention of Corruption," Shri Mirani outlined how GeM’s transparent, technology-driven processes are transforming government procurement, fostering accountability and mitigating corruption risks. He emphasised the importance of implementing strong measures to control misconduct and ensure platform integrity. Looking ahead, GeM seeks to leverage data analytics not only to optimise procurement but also to enhance monitoring mechanisms for the prevention of malpractice. #GeMIndia
