Want to Invest In Corporate Bonds? But Worried About Redeeming Before Maturity. SEBI’s new facility could be the game changer you’ve been waiting for. On October 17, SEBI announced something big for investors. Starting November 1, they’re launching a liquidity window—a new facility that allows you to sell listed debt securities back to issuers. Why does this matter? For years, investors in corporate bonds have faced a frustrating reality: lack of liquidity. Bonds are often held until maturity by institutional investors, making them feel “stuck” for those who might need their funds earlier. SEBI’s liquidity window introduces a put option, meaning you can sell your bonds back to issuers at specific intervals. What’s in it for you? Let’s say you’re holding a corporate bond with a five-year maturity. Under the old system, selling it before maturity could be nearly impossible due to low trading activity. But now, SEBI's liquidity window changes the equation. You no longer need to hold until the end. You get the flexibility to sell the bond back when it suits you. For example, you bought a corporate bond for steady income. But halfway through, your financial needs shift, and you want to access funds before the bond matures. With SEBI's new facility, you can sell the bond back to the issuer after three years, thanks to the put option. That’s liquidity when you need it most. But here’s what to keep in mind: While this facility opens new doors, it’s not mandatory for all issuers to offer it. SEBI requires board approval, and issuers will have to weigh the impact on their balance sheets before providing this option. We might have to wait for a year or so to ascertain its real impact on investors. SEBI’s guidelines aim to fill that gap but the true impact depends on how many issuers adopt this feature. So, what’s next for investors? If you’re holding or considering investing in debt securities, look for issuers that offer this liquidity window. This new feature could completely change how you approach bond investments, especially if liquidity is one of your top priorities. Is this a turning point for the debt securities market? It just might be. Follow me Ankit for more such informational posts.

Two years ago, I had a wake-up call that changed everything. It wasn’t just about my health. It transformed how I looked at everything — including my finances. Before COVID, I was healthy but not fit. I wasn’t overweight, but I wasn’t strong. Then, after a close brush with death during the second wave and gaining weight post-recovery, I knew I had to take control. I started with long-distance running. 🏃♀️ In 2022, I did a lot of cardio, and towards the end of that year, I took up running. 2023 was the year of pushing limits — I ran 10k, 5k races, and even completed my first half marathon in February 2024. Right now, I’m focusing on a combination of cardio and MMA, building strength and endurance. And when winter comes around, I’ll lace up my running shoes again. The same approach applies to finances. Just like health, if we don’t take control, things can spiral. It’s not about drastic measures — it's about consistent, informed decisions that lead to long-term stability and success. Start small. Stay committed. Watch the transformation. 👉 Have you taken control of your finances yet? Let’s inspire each other and share tips!

We recently worked with a young professional earning around ₹1.5 lakhs a month, but his lifestyle was consuming over ₹1.1 lakhs. Gym memberships. Personal trainers. Uber rides. Dining out. It all added up to minimal savings and investments. He was only investing ₹10-20K monthly—far below what he needed for his long-term goals. After reviewing his financials, we told him to start investing ₹70K per month. The challenge? Adjusting his lifestyle to make that happen. Here’s what we did: 1️⃣ Small, meaningful changes: → Cutting back on dining out → Reducing travel from two international trips to one → Shifting from credit cards to savings for daily expenses These shifts made him more conscious of his spending. Today, he’s investing around ₹50 monthly—not quite at the ₹70K target, but he’s headed in the right direction. Remember: Your lifestyle should align with your financial goals. Living beyond your means today makes it difficult to secure the future you want. Have you overcome a similar situation? Starting Growthvine Capital was a leap of faith—but it was far from reckless. So, what gave me and Shubham Gupta, CFA the confidence to leave our steady jobs and pursue this dream? A blend of careful planning, solid support, and calculated risk. First, our wives were working, giving us a financial safety net. This allowed us to take the plunge with a sense of security. And with years of investment experience under our belts, we’d built a cushion in our own portfolios that could sustain us for a couple of years. This wasn’t just about passion—it was about being practical. We knew that even if things didn’t go exactly as planned, we could pivot. But having that solid foundation allowed us to dive in with confidence and build something meaningful. Calculated risks can lead to the most rewarding outcomes—when you plan for them. 💡 Have you started your venture? What helped you to quit your full-time job? Should You Invest in the New Investment Product? Simply put, YTM is an annualized rate of return you'll earn on a bond if you buy it today and hold it until it reaches its expiration date. 🗓️ Imagine buying a bond is like investing in a rental property. The coupon payments are like the rent received per month, and the maturity value is like selling the property at the end of the lease term. YTM is the overall return you'll make on your investment, considering both the rental income and the sale price. ------------------------------------------------------- To know about more words like these, visit our page Growthvine Capital 💸 regularly!
