Hasiru Dala's field visit to Chintamani and Gowribidanur highlighted the challenges waste picker communities face in accessing affordable housing. Despite years of living in flood-prone areas, many communities have been unable to secure permanent housing. Through training sessions and advocacy, Hasiru Dala aims to empower these communities to navigate public housing schemes and advocate for their rights. The visit also showcased successful examples of community-driven housing initiatives in Chintamani, providing hope and inspiration for other communities. #Hasirudala #Wastepickers #PublicHousing #accessiblehousing

On the 30th of September, we participated in Enactus Day at Jain College, showcasing sustainable innovation in action! 🌍 Our stall featured upcycled keychains, bags, and handkerchiefs—handcrafted by the waste pickers community from textile waste. It was heartening to see students and faculty embrace our eco-friendly products, supporting sustainability and the livelihoods of our community members. Together, we are transforming waste into opportunity! ♻️💚 #SustainabilityInAction #Upcycling #EnactusDay #HasiruDala #WasteToWealth #EcoFriendlyProducts #HasiruDala #Wastepickers

Mental health matters, and so do innovative learning methods! We recently hosted a 2-day training workshop to equip field functionaries with the skills to conduct campaigns and create mental health awareness in their communities. Our facilitators used a unique blend of traditional games like Snakes and Ladders, Hopscotch, and Ludo, along with storytelling, to make learning engaging and impactful. #mentalhealthawareness #communityhealth #trainingworkshop #innovativelearning #hasirudala #rahat #unicef #socialandbehaviorchange
