How to build resilience? Today, Gloria asks: — "What’s a simple way to practice resilience every day?” — Welcome to Episode 208 of AskMatty! Here’s my answer, Gloria: — Today I wanna share a special exercise with you. It’s all about laughing. “Laughing...?” Yep, laughing! Studies show that laughing boosts resilience. The more positive emotions we feel daily, the more resilience we build. Let’s dive into the exercise! 1.    First, set aside a 10-minute slot each day for the next 30 days. For example: →    8:30 PM – 8:40 PM, every day. Do we have 10 minutes a day for our resilience? :) 2.    Alright! In those 10 minutes, do this: → Jot down three of the funniest things you experienced that day You might have experienced them. Or seen them. Or heard them. It doesn’t matter — just write them down. For example, three funny things could be: →    Watched a funny video on YouTube →    Saw something funny my colleague did →    Saw a funny situation on the train between two people Now, you might be wondering: →    Matty, what if I didn’t experience anything funny? No worries! Just do this: →    Go on YouTube →    Watch three funny videos :) 3.    Okay! You’ve written down WHAT made you laugh. Now, for each of those things, jot down HOW it made you feel. For example: →    It made me feel joyful →    It made me feel curious →    It made me feel carefree 4.    Now, for each of those things, jot down WHY you found them funny. For example: →    It was funny because I realized how... →    It was funny because it’s incredible how much... →    It was funny because those two people really thought that... That’s it. Just jot down three funny things at the end of your day. It's like writing down three things you're grateful for each day. By doing this: →    You’ll create a new positive habit in your life →    You'll soak up positive emotions before bed →    And of course, you’ll build resilience Resilience and positive emotions go hand in hand. There’s a reason why laughter yoga works wonders for our wellbeing :) — Alright! Thanks for your question, Gloria. Question of the day: →    Ever tried laughter yoga? Let me know in the comments :) “Let’s build a world where everyone belongs through the power of wellbeing!” – Matty

Helping to build profitable & scalable side hustles.

Every expert was once a beginner. Every success story started with "I'll try." - Elon wasn't qualified to build rockets - Bezos wasn't qualified to revolutionize retail - Zuckerberg wasn't qualified to change social media They all started anyway. The truth about growth is: → You learn by doing → You improve by failing → You succeed by continuing Your inner voice will keep telling you: "You're not qualified enough" "You're not experienced enough" "You're not ready enough" But the reality is: - Qualifications come from doing the work - Experience comes from taking action - Readiness is a myth that keeps you stuck The secret? Start before you're ready. Learn while you build. Grow through the journey. Stop waiting to be qualified. Start becoming qualified by doing. PS: Do you agree? Let me know below! Kindness is your superpower. Here’s how to harness it. True leadership isn't in your title. It's in the ripple effect of your kindness. 5 Ways to Lead with Kindness - Cultivate impact beyond authority. From: Leadership First 1. Radical Transparency with Empathy 😍 Don't just be honest. Be empathetic. Take time to understand. It's not just about being "real" but truly "human." 2. Acknowledge The Unseen 🌈 The world is full of silent hustlers. Everyday champions. The ones who do amazing work without asking for applause. Be that person’s supporter. 3. Leverage Your Influence 💥 Don't hoard your power. Share it! Introduce people to others who can benefit them. Send emails that don't just 'inform,' but transform. Every e-mail, a mission. Every introduction, a prayer. 4. Watch your words 🙂 Words have power. And, with great power comes great responsibility. Speak kindly, thoughtfully, and empathetically. If you need to centre yourself first, take a moment to breathe. 5. Be the calmest person in any room When everyone else is losing their heads and doubting the dawn of another day, you be the calm within their storm. Make them believe in themselves more than anything. This may mean you have to centre yourself before you respond. How do you hold that calm? One deep breath at a time. When we aren't stressed our words are kinder too. Leaders who manage themselves properly are more effective. Those people change the impact of your work and your life. What's one kind act you will never forget? ♻️ Repost to spread the power of kindness. ➡️ Follow Anna Parker-Naples to discover how to use breathwork to be a better leader.
