Ever walked through a door that makes you question your entire existence because you can’t tell if you should push or pull? That’s a Norman Door. But who is Norman? With immense pride, we say that 'Norman' himself walked through our doors! Design wizard Don Norman recently visited our Lab at Old Chandapura, where Tan90 has been actively involved in nurturing hands-on STEAM education for the past three years. Our students had the incredible opportunity to engage with this legendary designer, showcasing innovative models that address real-world challenges from their communities. The students also came together to brainstorm solutions for water scarcity at their school, showcasing their ability to apply design thinking to local issues truly reflecting the power of experiential learning in shaping future problem solvers. "While the children may not have fully understood the magnitude of the person they met, they left with one crucial lesson: Question everything. Asking questions is foundational to solving any problem," shares SCINDHIA SIDDHARTHAN, who guided Don Norman through our lab and the children's activities. We are thrilled to share that Purvi Raj, a student of our Tan90 Nakhat STEAM Lab at Bhawani Kanya Madhya Vidyalaya, Khanjarpur, Bhagalpur, has been named a national finalist at the prestigious INSPIRE MANAK competition. Her innovative Cannula Safety Gloves project was one of sixty selected from the country and was recognized for its practicality, social impact, and technical innovation.
