Last Sunday in Delhi I had the great pleasure of telling the story of how Sonam Wangchuk planted the seed of an idea that has become the Himalayan Rocket Stove social enterprise company... with Sonam sitting in the front row! He then went on to give a talk to our audience which was wonderfully generosity to HRS as part of the solution landscape on the topic of climate impacts in the Himalayas. Chozang, pictured with Sonam and I, was a student at SECMOL 20 years ago when I first went to Ladakh to learn about solar passive design. He went on to become staff and campus manager at the Phey Campus which (along with Sonam) inspired the smash hit Indian movie, "3 Idiots". **If you don't know that story, its worth looking up. It has become one of the most viewed movies in the world, being very popular in India, China, Asia and Africa, although is not as well known in the West. **Also, look up SECMOL if you don't know it... amazing place!
