Date: August 29, 2024 Time: 7.00 PM - 8.30 PM Speaker: Narasimhan V (Narsi) Topic: Creating psychological safety in Coaching (a webinar based on Nonviolent Communication – NVC) How to create a space that makes it easier for the coachees to express themselves fully? One challenge in coaching is creating a space wherein the coachees feel safe to express themselves and explore their emotions without fearing judgment. The sooner a coach can make such a space, the better and deeper the engagement based on trust and psychological safety. This can be done by cultivating empathy and deep listening. Nonviolent Communication (NVC) propounded by Marshal Rosenberg offers a framework that helps coaches to enable coachees to express themselves fully, more especially in emotionally-charged sessions. Applying NVC into coaching can create a more empathetic, effective, and collaborative coaching environment, that leads to more impactful results for your coachees.
