Are you a digital-savvy storyteller who understands the pulse of online audiences? We’re looking for a Social Media Executive to join our team and help amplify our journalism across platforms.
About the Role:
As a Social Media Executive, you’ll be responsible for:
· Managing and executing social media strategies across platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
· Writing engaging, platform-specific copy and headlines.
· Monitoring trends, analytics, and audience behaviour to optimize engagement.
· Coordinating with editorial, video, design and marketing teams to craft compelling digital content.
What Sets You Apart:
· We’re looking for someone who brings an additional specialization in one of the following areas:
· Video Editing – Ability to storyboard and edit social-first videos, reels, and short-form content.
· Data & Analytics – Expertise in tracking social performance, A/B testing, and audience insights.
· SEO & Digital Growth – Skills in social SEO, discoverability strategies, and audience expansion.
Who We're Looking For:
· 2-5 years of experience in social media for a news, media, or content-driven organization.
· Deep understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
· Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom.
· Familiarity with tools like Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, etc.
