Dear IIIT Dharwad Community, We are excited to invite you to a Workshop on Digital Physical Design jointly organized by GND_0 VLSI CLUB IIIT DHARWAD and accelAIrate . This workshop will provide insights into the world of Physical Design / Backend Design and introduce you to the EDA Tools essential for transforming RTL to GDSII. Workshop Highlights: Reflecting on both the concept of Physical Design / Backend Design as well as the EDA Tools needed to bring RTL to GDSII. We will be exploring the world of Open-Source Tools to understand how these EDA software solutions help us design chips. Additionally, we will cover key concepts in chip layout design and gain insights into the design cycle. Speaker: Yash Kumar is an ASIC Physical Design Intern at Analog Devices Inc., an EDA Developer at The OpenROAD Project, and has prior experience as a Hardware Engineering Intern at Google. He brings a wealth of knowledge in silicon validation, physical design, RTL design, logic design, and physical verification. Advancing Ocular Health through AI-Driven Retinal Imaging | IIIT Dharwad Research Update Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Dharwad is delighted to share that Dr. Girish G N has received funding under the prestigious Prime Minister's Early Career Research Grant (PM ECRG) for the project titled: “Segmentation and Estimation of Choroidal Physiological Parameters from Retinal Optical Coherence Tomography Scans.” This project focuses on developing advanced algorithms for the segmentation and estimation of physiological parameters from retinal OCT scans, with a special emphasis on the choroid layer. The research aims to support early diagnosis and monitoring of various ocular and systemic conditions by enhancing the precision and automation in retinal imaging analysis.
