Sir Ratan Tata wasn’t just a name or a leader; he was a guiding force, a dream nurturer for millions of Indians. His kindness and grace transcended borders, industries, and titles. गुरु बिन ज्ञान न होत है, गुरु बिना दिशा अजान, गुरु बिन इन्द्रिय न सधे, गुरु बिन बढ़े न शान। On this special occasion of Teachers' Day, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the teachers and mentors who have shaped my life, much like a 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐡𝐚𝐫 (𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫) shapes a pot. A potter firmly strikes the clay from the outside while gently supporting it from within — just like teachers who challenge us to grow while nurturing and guiding us with care and wisdom. Looking back, my journey of celebrating Teachers' Day began in 2002 when I was in 8th grade at 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧 in my hometown, Bijainagar. I remember collecting ₹5 from each student, raising ₹1200 to make sure every teacher received a token of our appreciation. We made macrame keychains and handmade thank-you cards, and I even drew a portrait of 𝑫𝒓. 𝑺𝒂𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒊 𝑹𝒂𝒅𝒉𝒂𝒌𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒏𝒂𝒏, in whose honor we celebrate this day. As I moved on to 𝐕𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚 for my senior secondary education, Teachers' Day celebrations grew even larger. Senior students took on the roles of teachers for junior classes, and the annual fair became a platform for students to set up stalls and learn entrepreneurial skills. In 11th grade, I placed a Bhelpuri stall in the school fair, and I made my first profit — ₹5. That was my very first entrepreneurial expedition, and it taught me invaluable lessons about business, hard work, and creativity. In college at 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲, I was fortunate to be mentored by exceptional teachers. After college, when I started Indibni, we invited all our teachers on Teachers' Day and gifted them personalized caricatures as a token of appreciation. Seeing the smiles on their faces as they received something unique and meaningful was truly rewarding. On a deeper level, I found my spiritual guide in 𝐕𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐚 and Shri S.N. Goenka, who became my spiritual guru. Through Vipassana, I have learned to understand the true purpose of life, gaining clarity and inner peace that has shaped my worldview and journey. To all the teachers, mentors, and spiritual guides — past, present, and future — thank you for molding us with your wisdom, support, and unwavering belief in our potential. मेरी कहानी - College, Career and Community! I'm excited to share my full circle story, back to where it began. Recently I was invited to conduct the induction session for the new batch at my alma mater, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra - Jaipur Campus. My journey at BIT, from 2006 to 2011, where I completed both my Bachelor's and Master's, laid the foundation for everything I have achieved today. Every experience there helped shape my career and fueled my commitment to give back, ensuring that students can fulfill their dreams just as I did. In 2006, a newspaper ad changed the course of my life, leading me to BIT, where my alias "Indianimator" was born. Along with like-minded batchmates, we launched initiatives like the official college cultural fest "Vibrations," the tech fest, and the sports fest. As the official photographer, I captured millions of moments that made those days memorable for everyone. Celebrating Friendship Day and Teacher’s Day instilled in me a deep love for gifting, a passion that continues to this day. In 2009, I founded my first startup, Indianimation, created my first solo film, and met my better half, Divya Jain. Post-college, we started Indibni as a design house, and our first project was designing merchandise for BIT events. A near-death experience profoundly impacted me, leading to my role as the founding member of BIT's Alumni Association, which has now grown into a network of over 25,000 alumni worldwide. One of my most cherished moments was receiving BIT's highest honor, the Distinguished Alumni Award, in 2022. Representing Indigifts on national television this year at Shark Tank India as the first BITians to do so, filled Divya and me with immense pride and fulfillment. As I step into the present, I'm excited to share my knowledge and core learnings with the next generation of #BITians. To make the induction session engaging and interactive, I've compiled a milestone presentation that reflects on how BIT fostered the entrepreneurial spirit in me.
