Jar is proud to have co-hosted Amazon Web Services (AWS)'s Multi-Country Generative AI Game Day in India! 🎮 The #AWSGameDay is a collaborative team-based exercise and, this year, 104 people in 26 teams across #India, #Japan and #SouthKorea tackled multiple problems and quests about #AI implementation to solve real-world problems. 🇯🇵 🇰🇷 🇮🇳 We're thrilled to announce that the team from Jar placed first in India on this #AWSGameDay with the teams from Digio and JIFFY.ai taking 1st and 2nd runner-up respectively! 🏆 🎊 We were also excited to host teams from Everstage, FinBox, Lokal, Kuku FM, Rigi and Yellow.ai while making friends with Prashanth VR, Rahul Shringarpure, and Nishant Singh from the Amazon Web Services (AWS) team, who did the heavy lifting and hosted the event to perfection! 🙌🏼 P.S. From Digital Desh Drive 10.0 meet Maneesh Goel from Delhi, who as a typical Indian family business owner inherited this family business started by his father in 1983. They sell all kinds of cosmetics, hosiery, toys, and general items for daily life for every lifestyle. They have been continuing the same business for 4 decades which has given them loyal customers and a lot of recognition and reputation. Marketing Strategy: Maneesh’s store has been around in the same neighbourhood for so long, that they got their value proposition and positioning in the market very early in their course. They are also very well known in their locality and their sector. Consequently, they do not use any kind of promotions digitally or otherwise as their marketing has always been positive word of mouth. Even though Maneesh has a personal Facebook account he do not use social media of any kind to market his store or products. Challenges: Due to brands moving online and selling their products at a discounted rate, Maneesh is losing customers. This was the case pre-pandemic. Now, post-pandemic, the world has truly turned digital and this has become a huge challenge for him. These days, according to Maneesh, people prefer malls and feel prejudiced, causing him to lose customers in the bargain. His main source of information about trends is through customer demand and the companies’ salespersons, therefore, when a new company enters the market or when a new product is launched online and garners popularity, he automatically becomes late to the game. Solution: Taking the store digital, however, despite Maneesh’s want to be online for his store he asked for help going online. He wishes for an app that could teach him about the online eCommerce world and would make the process simpler for him. He strongly emphasizes on the need to go online to both sustain and grow his business. Upcoming: In one week, Digital Desh 14.0 Bihar kicks off where the Digital Desh team would drive into 8 cities within Bihar to discover the internet habits (or lack thereof) of the residents of Bihar.
