About us

Curate/ Retail quality products by nonprofit sector and Facilitate ESG aligned procurement and gifting for Institutions. jhappi provides market access to quality products made by the nonprofit sector from all corners of the country. We work to reduce dependency on exhibitions and referral sales, instead provide round the year access to end customers. We also train them to sell on quality instead of compassion. Our aim is to protect these vulnerable people from exploitative working conditions and ensure fair wages. To achieve this goal, we work with nonprofit entities and avoid profiteering practices. On the other hand, jhappi provides convenience to socially conscious retail buyers in fulfilling their consumption/ gifting needs through high quality and high utility products. The customers love the eclectic collection and a sense of contribution to the marginalized communities while shopping at jhappi. We closely work with Institutions in their affirmative action and sustainable buying policies. We provide a large aggregation of impact products- both environmental and livelihoods. jhappi can be a partner of your choice in your ESG journey.

    jhappi opened it's fifth store at the iconic Taj Fort Aguada Resorts and Spa, Candolim, Goa It's the next step in our resolve to create markets for high quality products made by the nonprofit sector. These products can successfully compete with the heavily marketed commercial products on quality and uniqueness (without seeking compassion) We thank all our makers and partner NGOs for delivering consistent quality, unique designs and choosing to create a life of dignity We thank our customers (both retail and institutional) for partnering in this journey We thank entire team at jhappi for their commitment to creating larger markets for our makers Our success is success of the marginalized makers who have started contributing to the economy, our success is also the success of mindful buyers who have option to choose commercial products.

    Ambiguity ! Ambiguity , chaos , mess , uncertainty are very uncomfortable for me. I now realize how I kept away from it and led a linear life where all was kind of known or predictable , organized. Any ability to face difficulty appeared like resilience. And now at jhappi I am in a complete uncomfortable zone. We are growing and so our team sizes but not in the proportion . We are growing but not our physical infrastructure in that proportion. We are aiming high but we don't know when we suddenly move into the next orbit. This ride is adventurous & uncomfortable & satisfying all at the same time. Entrepreneurship has put me on a sinusoidal curve, learning it all. These pictures are of our 1st store in Thane which has covered us under all circumstances. We started retail from here , extended it to create warehouse and then overnight it becomes packaging & dispatch center. Sometimes a studio for bulk buyers , corporates , wedding families to see the range and Sometimes assembly line for packing it all up. We run it all from this 300 sq ft because we have a team that believes we can. Mind unsettling mess & chaos is the new way of life. Learning , but cannot master as mostly out of syllabus. :) Thank you Bipin Joshi for showing me the mess 😁 #enterprenuership #ambiguity

    Products reach where makers may not reach Makers are not employable (in organized sector) but their products are appreciated by the top CHROs. Do we see an opportunity for the marginalized makers to be active economic contributors? Do we witness 'Inclusion' beyond the boardroom discussion?     I feel like the truck driver ! Feel blessed to be of some help for these village women who have the determination and only needed their creations to reach the rest of the country.     Moving from Pre primary to Primary in a day ? We had got our 1st order for coasters a month back where the makers ( slum dwelling women from Powai) were felicitated by the client . These women witnessed something they could not have dreamt of. Luxurious setting of a premium hotel, air journey to Kerela, being driven in a car to the venue ......no this was nothing .... they witnessed respect , they saw people's standing ovation when they came to the stage to be honored, they experienced validation! That was the day the inside of them changed and now they bagged an order for A4 size paintings , their hands are steady , they have a bigger canvas .. Sometimes you don't have to be taught to grow up ! You rise to the occasion!!
