Here's a peak into the DesignUp Conference workshops hosted at Jupiter HQ over the weekend! Led by Parameswaran Venkataraman and Shalini Raghunathan the workshops encouraged participants to introspect about their craft, relationship with authority, and the art of constructive criticism. #Lifeatjupiter #design #workshops
Co-founder: 3 Big Things | Behavioural Designer | ex-IDEO, Fractal.ai, Dr Reddy’s and Tata Digital | Fractional Chief Design Officer | Design Thinking, Customer Experience, Innovation, Org culture transformation
Shalini and I led 3 workshops as part of DesignUp Conference Festival that kicked off yesterday. The day began with a workshop I led on 'What's my Relationship with Craft?' This was to help participants to reframe their core professional identity and make some strategic choices about which 'craft' we'd like to focus on for the foreseeable future. The second workshop soon after was on 'What's my Relationship with Authority?' This was an inquiry into what unconscious biases and principles do we use that influence the way we experience the people we work with. The day closed with a workshop led by Shalini on 'Share & Critique for a Culture of Collaboration'. This was a masterclass and hands-on workshop in how to create a culture of critique (not criticism) and create a safe space for designers and creative professionals to share their work-in-progress (not wait till things are 'perfect' and fully figured out). And how to provide and receive constructive & honest feedback to elevate our work. Average NPS scores for each workshop: - Workshop 1 (Relationship with Craft): 8.56 - Workshop 2 (Relationship with Authority): 7.86 - Workshop 3 (Share & Critique): 9.77 A heartfelt thank you from Shalini and me for everyone who signed up and attended these workshops. Keeping aside time on a Saturday and investing in your self is not the most easiest of things to do, it takes commitment and effort. We really appreciate you doing that. I took away a ton of learnings and valuable insights for myself. These workshops were hosted by the wonderful folks in the Jupiter design team led by Tuhina Dargan. Thank you Jupiter design team! You were wonderful hosts, partners and collaborators! Thank you to Bhavna Nagpal for prep for the workshop! Thank you Rasagy Sharma, Jay Dutta and Shiva Viswanathan for having us in the Festival line-up! Looking forward to the other events as part of the Festival, and to seeing everyone at the conference! Tagging some of the folks who attended the workshops. This is not a comprehensive list. Madonna Thomas, Shriya Paranjpe, 🍩Shubham Agarwal, Shubham Joshi, Arun Sandeep B S, Dhanyashri Kamalakannan, Vasudev M G, Prashant Singh, Karishma Ajmera, Lakshmipriya Pai, Vivek Raju, Pranav Trehan, Surabhi Singh, Sadaf Ashraf and more. #workshop #design #designleadership #designteams #conference #selfdevelopment
