One of the most noble acts known to humankind is donating your organs, enabling someone to live, breathe and feel life. Let's take a moment to appreciate people donating organs and who have signed up to do so. Like Shannon L. Alder said, “Carve your name on hearts, not tombstones. A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you.” #organdonation #legacy

Today we are not just celebrating World Photography Day but we are also celebrating the legacy it holds. Every photo tells a story, freezes the moment, and creates a memory for the future generation. May it be the representation of the struggle and resilience of a mother in the first pic, the Compassion that a colleague shows to save his own in the second one, or the third pic which showcases the rise of India on an international level post freedom. Similarly, you too can preserve your legacy and capture a memory using Mitt Arv's Emotional will feature, one can leave a Text ( Photos included ), audio, or video message for your loved ones, which will be delivered to them at the appropriate time as a part of your legacy. https://lnkd.in/gr2UzFNQ https://lnkd.in/exhk5RpT #worldphotographyday #memories #videoemotionalwill #MittArv

Among the legends of Raksha Bandhan, one shines bright. The tale from the Mahabharata acknowledges the relationship between Lord Krishna and Draupadi. According to the epic, one morning, when Lord Krishna was flying a kite, he cut his finger on the abrasive string. Draupadi, who was nearby, saw him bleeding profusely and ran to him. She then tore a piece from her sari and tied it around his finger. Lord Krishna was so touched that, in return, he promised to protect her from all evil forever. And he did protect her all along, especially during her ‘cheerharan’ by the Kauravas. In the rich amalgam of our cultural heritage, "Raksha Bandhan" is a symphony of syllables that translates into the "Bond of Protection," a phrase that resonates like a promise across time. Just as the thread of a Rakhi binds hearts, Mitt Arv weaves itself into the tapestry of your legacy, ensuring that your life's journey is cradled in its embrace. #MittArv #legacy #rakshabandhan

As we trace the footsteps of our fearless freedom fighters, we are inspired by their courage, determination, and resilience that led India to its freedom. From Mahatma Gandhi's non-violent protest to Bhagat Singh's daring defiance, their sacrifices paved the way for the dawn of a new era. They didn't just fight for independence; they embodied the ideals of freedom, justice, and equality that continue to guide us today. In this 78th year of independence, let’s not only commemorate their heroic deeds but also embrace the values they cherished. By living with integrity, standing up for what's right, and nurturing unity, we can honour their legacy in the most profound way. Just as our freedom fighters etched an indelible mark on history, we too have the power to create a lasting legacy for the generations to come. Their story is our story—one of resilience, hope, and the belief that each of us can make a difference. Let’s carry forward their spirit, ensuring that the torch of freedom and equality burns brightly for the future. #78thindependenceday #independence #MyNationMyPride #legacy

Founder, Mitt Arv ¦ Partner, Travel & Payments ¦ Ex Expedia, Microsoft, VISA ¦ IIM Calcutta alumnus

We were all SURPRISED! Pleasantly at that... If you are a Joka Alum (read Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta), you would agree on us taking the Chill factor (vs Alpha & Beta) to our post grad lives as well. There's hustle but there's also chill. Perhaps why the various Nostalgia events every summer see such less participation, relatively. If we were looking at ourselves as a Marketing Funnel, the potential to increase the participation conversion rate would be sooooo high due to lower base! But it all changed! It all changed in the last one month. Rapidly. Drastically. And in a good way. A red carpet was laid out. Pick up from Airport and an all expenses paid accommodation at Sarovar Hotels run space in campus IIM Calcutta put up a fantastic Entrepreneurship themed conclave at our beloved campus, surrounding the 7 lakes. It was Nostalgia, camaraderie building, networking, connections, JBS BaroC, Mohan da, Kotler (did you just hymn the June main hum Joka aaye song?) and all the terms one associates with Joka over their 1 or 2 year stay. We only stayed for 24-36 hours but the memories and connections and rekindling of our bond with IIM Calcutta was a great experience for the Entrepreneurs of the country. So glad to meet fellow entrepreneurs and ecosystem, all of them alumni, with the likes of Alok Bansal, Amit Ray, Hari TN, T N Pratap, Manimala Hazarika, Aso Shanglai, Mangesh Zope, Rajkumar Sarda, Sarmila Pande, Vivek Sharma, Amit Agarwal, Alisha Surabhi, Arjun Vijay, Hemant Jain, Gaurav Thapar, Pooja Mishra, Narayan "Naru" Ramamoorthy, Shilpa Kumar, ajit balakrishnan, Keerthi Priya, Vineet D. and many many more folks (by count, there were about 100 of us) IIMC also launched Madan Mohanka Center of Execellence for Entrepreneurship. Thanks rahega to Gurpreet Phull, Sooraj Dhawan for orchestrating the event so well and to the organizing committee with Atrayee Bhattacharya and team leading the way. The board played an important role in giving free hand to the executors to make this a memorable movement, led by Shrikrishna Kulkarni and supported by Sanjiv Aiyar, Ajay Jain, Rupa Mahanty and more... The cherry on the cake was to see our professors join us in the celebration of Entrepreneurship. Thank you Professors Saibal Chattopadhyay, Prof. Chandradeep (CD) Mitra, Manju Jaiswall, Balram Avittathur, Peeyush Mehta, Ritu Mehta, and many more who joined us. Mitt Arv was well represented by me, Siddharth Addy and Sreejita Saha. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to validate the journey we are on. It was a fantabulous experience, brought me back to 14 years ago and I can only ask for such events to take place annually to contribute, network and take away something from within. It was a LOT which happened in those 24-36 hours and we can only hope this is the start of something much bigger ~putlake ~putfight ~putentrepreneurship #iimc #joka #entrepreneurship
