Mr. Todd McClay, Hon'ble Minister for Agriculture, New Zealand and HE Mr. Patrick Rata, High Commissioner, New Zealand High Commission along with a delegation visited our Patparganj Facility in Delhi. The delegation held a discussion in the presence of Mr. Manish Bandlish, Managing Director, Mother Dairy, Mr Rajesh Gupta, Regional Head (Northern Region), National Dairy Development Board and other senior officials. During the meeting the guests were briefed on Mother Dairy's remarkable 50-year legacy, including its achievements and community-focused actions. An MoU was signed between Meghalaya State Agricultural Marketing Board, Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Government of Meghalaya and Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd. in the august presence of Shri Conrad Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Frederick Roy, IAS, Principal Secretary, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Department, Govt. of Meghalaya, Dr. Vijay Kumar D, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Govt. of Meghalaya, Dr. Meenesh Shah, Chairman, National Dairy Development Board, and Shri Manish Bandlish, Managing Director, Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd., towards a strategic partnership for growth and promotion of agricultural products from Meghalaya.   This partnership is yet another testament to our collective efforts of connecting India's diverse agricultural heritage with urban consumers, bringing a variety of finest produce from across states to our discerning consumers, nationally and internationally. Through this initiative, under our horticulture arm Safal, we will provide improved extension and marketing services to the farmers of Meghalaya, who produce high-quality fruits and vegetables. We also plan to extend support in the areas of varietal improvement and extension of shelf life for enhancing productivity, benefiting the farmers of the region. Dr Meenesh Shah, Chairman, NDDB called on Hon'ble Minister of Road of Transport and Highways, Govt of India Shri Nitin Gadkari to discuss various initiatives of NDDB & its subsidiaries - Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd. and NDDB Dairy Services (NDS) in the Vidarbha and Marathwada regions of Maharashtra. Chairman, NDDB apprised the Hon'ble Minister about the extensive milk procurement operations of Mother Dairy, covering more than 3,000 villages and benefitting about 35,000 dairy farmers. Dr. Shah also informed that NDS has started offering doorstep Artificial Insemination services in the region with over 2 lakh AIs conducted to date. He also updated the status of the upcoming 6 LLPD state-of-the-art dairy plant of Mother Dairy at Nagpur. The planning and design of the plant is almost done and the tender for construction of the plant will be published soon. The action plan for the future expansion of milk procurement activities in all the districts of Marathwada and Vidarbha region was also presented. The Hon’ble Minister praised the interventions of NDDB and its subsidiaries and assured full support for further expanding these initiatives in the future.

The National Dairy Development Board and Tata Power Renewable Microgrid (TPRMG), a wholly owned subsidiary of TATA Power, signed an MoU to jointly advance initiatives in renewable energy technologies for rural communities. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Ms. Varsha Joshi, Additional Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power, Dr Meenesh Shah, Chairman, NDDB and Mr. Manoj Gupta, CEO, TPRMG. Chairman, NDDB highlighted that this MoU is a significant milestone as two great institutions, NDDB and Tata Power, are coming together to pursue a sustainable & efficient dairy value chain. The aim is to integrate renewable energy solutions, boost operational efficiency and promote use of green fuels. Dr. Sinha stated that the partnership with NDDB will enable Tata Power to advance innovative and eco-friendly energy solutions strengthening our vision of clean and consistent energy access to rural communities. Ms. Varsha Joshi emphasised the importance of this collaboration, noting that NDDB’s partnership with Tata Power will help combine their expertise to scale up sustainable initiatives. The event was also attended by senior officers of NDDB, Tata Power, TPRMG, Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd. and NDDB Dairy Services (NDS).

Our Team hosted a group of farmers and agri officials from Leh at our horticulture facility in Mangolpuri, Delhi. They visited our facility and directly experienced our Safal-model, which encompasses the fruits and vegetables value chain, facilitating a direct link between farmers and consumers. They gained understanding of our farm to fork model and crucial attributes of managing fresh produce, including sorting, grading, and retailing.   At Safal, we have been consistently conducting such visits for farmers from across various regions in order to demonstrate our capabilities and how we can collaboratively implement innovative solutions, including good agricultural practices, benefiting both farmers and consumers alike.   Marking a significant step in the fruits & vegetables sector in Ladakh, Mother Dairy - under the aegis of National Dairy Development Board - had recently signed MoUs with The Fruit Growers Cooperative Marketing and Processing Society Limited (Kargil) and Sham Vegetable and Fruit Growers Cooperative Marketing Society Limited (Nimmo, Leh) to provide a direct market access to fresh apricots and other fruits & vegetables produced by the farmers of the region.   #MotherDairy #Safal #FarmerVisit #Farmers #FruitsAndVegetables #EkSafalKoshish

We were glad to host a group of farmers from the state of Meghalaya at our Horticulture Facility in Mangolpuri, Delhi. They toured our facility and had a first-hand experience of our Safal-model which includes the entire value chain of fruits & vegetables. With the help of our Team, they gained insights on the Pineapple supply chain in particular.
