Green hydrogen is rapidly becoming a critical element of India’s shift towards sustainable energy. Produced by splitting water molecules using renewable energy sources like solar and wind, green hydrogen offers a clean, zero-emission alternative to fossil fuels. Its versatile applications in transportation, industry, and energy storage make it a powerful tool for decarbonizing the economy and reducing reliance on imported fossil fuels. With strong government backing, including significant collaborations such as MoUs with Germany, India is building the foundation of a hydrogen economy. However, for the green hydrogen sector to thrive, India must develop a highly skilled workforce capable of driving innovation across the value chain.
