  • NeSL MD and CEO, Shri Debajyoti Ray Chaudhuri, was invited to address the students of Centre for Business and Commercial Laws, NLIU, Bhopal at the 10th edition of the National Law Institute University, Bhopal Trilegal Summit on Corporate and Commercial Laws, 2025. Shri Chaudhuri addressed the students on the topic "Evolving role of information utility under IBC 2016". During the 60-minute session, he touched upon topics like legal provisions of the IBC related to the IU, how the IU facilitates Information submission, RoD generation and recent amendments to the regulation to strengthen the operations of IU and facilitate the admission process. Shri Debajyoti Ray Chaudhuri was also invited as a panelist to speak at the event and shared the stage with Mr. Siddharth Raja, from Verices partners, Mr. Yogesh Singh from Trilegal and Mr Ramakant Rai of Trilegal and Prof Ghayur Alam from NLIU.

  • International Women's Day 2025 celebration at NeSL Office   NeSL celebrated International Women's Day, at our administrative office in Bengaluru. Smt. Padmaja Chunduru former MD and CEO of Indian Bank and MD of NSDL was the chief guest. Speaking at the event, she shared her experiences and her thoughts on various issues including balancing work and family. She appreciated the active participation of all and especially the men at the event. NeSL Executive Director Smt. Nivedita Ep IA&AS, MD & CEO of NeSL, Shri. Debajyoti Ray Chaudhuri, CTO of NeSL Shri.   • NeSL hosts workshop on Electronic Bank Guarantee (e-BG) at Mumbai on 10th February 2025 We are delighted to share the successful completion of our one-day e-BG workshop held for Banks and Beneficiaries of BGs. The objective was to have a common platform for stakeholders to come together and discuss ways and means to further strengthen this important digital initiative. The event saw participation by the leading e-BG issuing banks and large beneficiaries of BGs. Presentations were made by both banks and beneficiaries, sharing their experiences and feedback on NeSL’s e-BG. The inaugural address was made by Shri Debajyoti Ray Chaudhuri, Managing Director & CEO. NeSL’s Executive Director, Smt Nivedita E P also addressed the participants and actively participated in the discussions during the day.     CII’s NR DX Committee successfully hosted a programme today on “Leveraging Information Utility under IB Code to Better Manage the MSME Payment Puzzle” to empower MSMEs with financial risk management strategies. In his opening remarks and Keynote address Shri Debajyoti Ray Chaudhuri, Managing Director & CEO, National E-Governance Services Limited (NeSL), welcomed all the participants to the webinar and stated that the IBC was not just a much-needed legislation, but also a landmark reform. It marked a paradigm shift in which stressed debt resolution was addressed in India. The IBC has brought about a behavioural change in debtor wherein they have been more forthcoming to discuss and settle issues related to repayment of dues with their creditors. He also stated that the Information Utility is one of the pillars of the IBC and is widely regarded as a unique institution, without any parallel anywhere in the world. The importance of the IU is reflected in that, it finds a place in the recently published Economic Survey of the Government of India. The session provided insights into: ✔ Submission of financial information via Form C to establish credibility ✔ Access to Credit Facility Reports (CFR) for informed decision-making ✔ Early alerts on default occurrences to manage risks proactively ✔ Requests for Record of Default (RoD) for CIRP filing for smoother resolutions The panel featured industry experts from NeSL, including Dr. Mustafa Shiyaji, Mr. U Vankata Rao, Smt. Suparna Chaudhury, Mr. Amit Sharma, and Mr. H R Gurudeep.
