During #Navratri, our PI, Dr. Prajakta Dandekar Jain, had the privilege of speaking at Prof. Abhijit Majumder’s Lab at IIT Bombay on "𝘚𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘌𝘺𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘞𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘳," sharing insights on 3D cell culture, 3D bioprinting, and tissue engineering. It was a truly memorable experience as she reflected on her inspiring journey, from being the first woman researcher to receive the prestigious RESPIRE long-term fellowship from the European Respiratory Society (ERS)-Marie Curie Co-fund, conducting postdoctoral research on siRNA delivery systems for lung infections, to establishing her own lab at her alma mater, ICT, Mumbai focused on 3D cell culture and microfluidic systems. The enthusiastic members of M-Lab engaged in a lively discussion following the talk, making the event even more special. A huge thanks to Prof. Abhijit Majumder and team for organizing this wonderful Navratri celebration of #WomeninScience. It’s essential to share the stories of inspiring women in #STEM to nurture and empower the next generation of women scientists.
