Location: Delhi We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Cruelty Response Officer to handle complaints of animal cruelty, neglect, and abuse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily arbitration to resolve animal cruelty complaints, collaborating with law enforcement, and advocating for the well-being of animals. Key Responsibilities are listed as follows but are not limited to: • Address general cruelty-case complaints, such as housing societies wrongly imposing restrictions on companion animals, using form letters, and other methods to ensure legal rights. • Promptly coordinate with local animal protection organizations or volunteers to file cruelty-case complaints. • Provide immediate care and assistance to animals in distress, including arranging for medical treatment, shelter, and rehabilitation. • Educate the public about animal welfare laws, responsibilities/rights of animal caretakers, and the importance of reporting animal cruelty. • Develop and implement strategies to prevent animal cruelty and improve animal welfare in the community. Qualifications: • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution [Preference - Law Graduate]. • Experience, either voluntary or professional, in handling cruelty-to-animals cases. • Strong understanding of animal welfare laws, regulations, and best practices. • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills. • Commitment to the mission and values of People for Animals.
