How will the job market be affected by #ArtificialIntelligence?

ET-NOW Entrepreneur of the Year 2022. Building Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure for NoCode WebAR & VR. Co-Founder & CEO - Vossle AI

AI taking up jobs was the centre of the discussion at a recent panel conducted by Republic World at their Emerging Technology Awards. In the short run (next 5-10 years), we overestimate as the fear of the unknown grips us. This can be alleviated only by training people on the possibilities with AI, which shows them how they can themselves participate in this AI bull run. However, it is the longer run (20+ years) that we need to be more vigilant of our underestimation. Open discussions, more learning & development on AI will enable people to imagine future possibilities and how they will be able to contribute to the new world order. Here's a short glimpse of my thoughts at the event. Vossle AI Queppelin #ArtificialIntelligence #GenerativeAI

Digital twins are revolutionizing industries by providing virtual representations of physical objects and systems. This technology empowers us to simulate, analyze and optimize real world scenarios which leads to better products and processes. Let’s explore the main types of digital twins: 1. Component Twins: These are digital models of individual components or parts. Component twins work together to create a holistic virtual model of an object. Example: Imagine the small component twins of brakes, axle, steering wheel and engine coming together to form the digital twin of a car. 2. Asset Twins: These represent entire physical assets such as buildings, machines or vehicles. Asset twins capture interactions and performance data by combining multiple components. Real world insights from asset twins can enhance the efficiency of the corresponding physical asset. Example: The digital twin of a car serves as an asset twin. 3. System Twins: They model different systems and show how asset twins (composed of related component twins) interact within a larger functioning system. This helps us understand relationships and optimize overall performance. Example: Imagine a chemical plant that produces specialized chemicals. The system twin for this plant would cover all the assets and processes involved in making a particular base product at the first stage of chemical production. 4. Process Twins: Process twins focus on end to end processes involving various systems. They analyze synchronization and impacts between different systems and drive efficiency improvements. Example: A car production facility where system twins like product design, assembly line & testing ground collaborate to enhance decision making. #DigitalTwins #AI #IndustryInnovation #Queppelin

Augmented Reality introduced in Zomato apps helps you visualize your food before ordering. Here’s a quick analysis.

Zomato has introduced "View in AR" on its mobile apps. This addition allows users to visualize meals in 3D using Augmented Reality. Unlike 2D pictures, this offers a realistic preview of dishes before placing an order. This helps the user with: 1. Realistic previews: see detailed 3D models of dishes which provides a clear idea of portion sizes, ingredients and presentation 2. Informed choices: this visual aid allows customers to make more informed decisions and hence reduces order dissatisfaction 3. Discovering new cuisines and dishes becomes more engaging Congratulations to Zomato team for a fabulous job. There are a few glitches like the 3D model is sometimes unstable and goes out of the view. This can occur for a few reasons: 1. Reflective surfaces and bad lighting conditions make is difficult to maintain tracking stability. The app should inform the user about it. 2. 3D model might be placed incorrectly. Use hit test to place models accurately on detected surfaces. Ensure your placement logic accounts for real world scale and user perspective. 3. User movement or camera positioning might cause the model to go out of view. Design the AR experience to accommodate typical user movements and use UI elements to help users reorient themselves. #Zomato #AugmentedReality #FoodTech #DiningExperience #Innovation

The Physics of Anamorphic Billboards! Anamorphosis is an artistic technique that involves distorting an image so that it appears normal only when viewed from a specific angle. 3D Anamorphic billboards employ this and create an illusion of depth using our brain's natural ability to perceive perspective. Our brain interprets the relative sizes of objects and the angles at which lines converge to determine how far away objects are from us. A combination of techniques are employed to achieve this surprising visual experience: 1. Forced Perspective: Objects are drawn larger or smaller than they would appear in reality. 2. Angle of View: The artwork is designed with a specific viewing angle in mind. The distorted image aligns correctly when viewed from this angle. An illusion of depth is revealed. 3. Digital Technology: Digital tools are used to precisely calculate and manipulate the distortion of the image to match the physical characteristics of the billboard and the intended viewing angle. Such billboards are used in outdoor advertising. These eye-catching displays create a captivating illusion of three-dimensional scenes that appear to leap out of the flat surface of the billboard. This video is an example of a 3D Anamorphic Billboard installed in Manila, Philippines and was created by Queppelin. #billboards #advertising #oooh #marketing #philippines #queppelin

Checklist of RBI guidelines for digital lending fintech companies while developing their technology platforms and data storage.

The digital lending industry in India has seen significant growth in recent years. This sector is a key segment of the broader fintech market. The rise of digital lending platforms such as Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), fintech and its intermediaries has been driven by technological advancements, changing consumer behaviour and supportive regulatory policies. Digital lending industry in India has clearly defined RBI guidelines for their technology development and data storage. The following will serve as a good checklist for their CPO/CTO to ensure the regulatory compliance adherence: 1. Make sure that any collection of data on your platform has prior & explicit consent of the borrower. 2. Audit trail should be maintained for any data collected.  3. Do not collect mobile phone data like files, media, contact list and call logs. There is a provision of a one time access of camera, microphone and location for KYC/onboarding. 4. Users should be given an option to permit/deny consent for any data collection. They should be able to deny any previously allowed data access at any point in time. Each stage of the interface should define the purpose of asking for borrower's consent 5. If the data needs to be shared with any LMS or NBFC, ask for the user's consent before sharing this information. 6. Data Storage: Except basic info like name, address, contact details no other information should be saved on the platform. 7. Server location: Platform and all its data should be stored in a server location in India only. #fintech #lending #digitallending #nbfc #lms #loans #digital #RBICompliance #FinancialServices #RegulatoryCompliance #TechInFinance #LendingPlatforms #IndiaFintech #BankingTech #Innovation #Finance #Technology #Startups #DigitalIndia

How to lose monthly active user base of 100 million! The Gaana saga.

View profile for Prafulla Mathur, graphic

ET-NOW Entrepreneur of the Year 2022. Building Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure for NoCode WebAR & VR. Co-Founder & CEO - Vossle AI

How do you lose monthly active user base of 100 million! It pains me to see how Gaana did just that and is getting lost in oblivion. Gaana was once the largest music streaming service in India owned by Times Internet. Now, India's music industry is complex with loads of regional, bollywood and independent artists. Combine that with various record labels with a stay-out-of-the-door approach. Any new entrant in the streaming space in India would have had to deal with these complexities along with a price sensitive user and incumbents like Gaana. The stage was set for Gaana to become a huge consumer internet product. A first for "developed in India" tag, one which is truly digital. But then, Spotify comes to India in 2019. To start, it teamed up with T-series for 160,000 songs and focussed on Hindi, English and other regional languages from the get go. It took a flexible approach while Gaana was slower to adapt. 1. Spotify offered personalised playlists like Discover Weekly, Release Radar and City Playlists based on the song preferences of people of Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, and Chennai. 2. It used its global brand image well through campaigns like Spotify Wrapped which highlighted user's music listening patterns. This became a viral sensation. 3. This was quickly followed by non-music content like Podcasts on Spotify. 4. Spotify used AI and ML to offer much better personalised recommendations than Gaana. 5. Adaptive subscription model: While Gaana had put everything behind a paywall (what were you thinking!), Spotify was flexible and offered a top-up for 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 3month, and 6 months along with the ad supported free version. What Gaana should have done: 1. Gaana should have become on open platform offering its APIs for developers to make more application on its stack (Guys haven't we seen enough tech products doing this?) 2. Pricing: While it is easy to understand that music licensing is expensive, but that is what you know even before starting a platform like Gaana. Coming from one of India's largest business houses, Gaana could have sustained more and made a shot for the moon. My company, Queppelin, worked closely on the technology with Gaana to build the music streaming and compression over the apps. So this loss to Spotify, Apple Music and others is personal. #spotify #apple #music #bollywood #ai #ml #artificialintelligence #queppelin

Tesla Robotaxi now has a date - August 2024. While sticking to the dates has not been Elon's strengths, we can clearly see the direction and the urgency of intent. In Q1 earnings call yesterday, Tesla has given the first glimpse of Robotaxi app that we can use to book a Tesla self drive cab. Great thing about this is how simple it is to use. Almost looking like an Uber app it hides the artificial intelligence in plain sight. This would result in: 1. Significantly reducing driver's jobs. No country yet has alternate jobs for so many. 2. People would not buy cars as they will be able to summon one anytime they want. We will only buy when we want to put it up on the taxi network to earn money for us. Entire automotive supply chains are under threat. Remember, we overestimate in the short run and underestimate in the long run. #tesla #robotaxi #artificialintelligence #ai #fsd

What are the challenges of implementing RPA to increase business efficiency? #RPA #uipath

View profile for Prafulla Mathur, graphic

ET-NOW Entrepreneur of the Year 2022. Building Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure for NoCode WebAR & VR. Co-Founder & CEO - Vossle AI

Challenges of Implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA). RPA is often hailed as the be-all and end-all of all enterprise sufferings. It is expected to be ready to rescue businesses from the clutches of inefficiency. But the path to successful RPA implementation has its challenges. But first, what's the difference between Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Traditional Automation (TA), you ask! TA involves programming software to integrate separate systems through APIs. On the other hand RPA mimics human actions to perform tasks directly in the user interface, just as a human would. This means it can work with any software without needing API integrations. This makes RPA faster, flexible and manageable by non-technical staff. Coming back to the challenges: 1. Choosing the Right Processes: Not all processes are suitable for automation. Choosing a complex process with too many exceptions can lead to an RPA project becoming a money pit. The key is to start small with rule based repetitive tasks. RPA bots can handle these like a champ. 2. Maintaining the Bots: RPA bots work tirelessly 24/7. But they also need regular maintenance. Any changes in the underlying systems can break the bots. This leads to downtime and loss of productivity. Regular updates are crucial to keep the bots running smoothly. 3. Change Management: Implementing RPA may meet resistance from employees. It is important to clearly communicate the benefits of RPA and how it helps staff to shift from mundane tasks to focus on more value added work. #RPA #challenges #automation #Innovation #roboticprocessautomation #queppelin #cio #cto #uipath #automationanywhere

Every new internet interface spawns its democratizing creation tools! We've witnessed remarkable transformations in how we interact with digital platforms over the last two decades. From the early days of static web pages to today's #AI led immersive product experiences, each new interface has brought about groundbreaking opportunities for creators and users alike. What's fascinating is the parallel development of tools that democratize the creation of these interfaces. With every shift in technology, we've seen a surge in innovative solutions that empower individuals to create their own digital spaces, regardless of their technical background. For example, if you were to build your website in 2005, you would have hired developers to custom code it for you. It would have been tedious finding developers and expensive to hire them. This became super easy with the launch of #nocode platforms like Wix and Shopify in 2006. Now you could create your website yourself. You would not have needed to know any coding. With this, the world witnessed a hockey stick curve growth in the number of websites getting launched. Whether it's the advent of user-friendly website builders, intuitive app development platforms or emerging technologies like #augmentedreality, the democratization of interface creation has never been more accessible. These tools not only lower the barrier to entry but also enable a diverse range of voices to be heard in the digital landscape. As we embrace the future of internet interfaces, let's celebrate the ongoing evolution of tools that empower everyone to bring their ideas to life online. Together, we're shaping a more inclusive and vibrant digital world. #internetinterfaces #digitalinnovation #creativity #techevolution #vossle #queppelin #canva #wix #shopify #firework #artificialintelligence #virtualreality #lowcode
