REACH India Collective is a group of 16 education-based organizations working in remote geographies across 12 states in India with the goal of building collective voice and representation, as well as an ecosystem to support each other. The Collective has organizations working in remote, rural and aspirational districts of states like Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. The 'Voices of Play' Children's Conference event, where the real experts, children, took the stage to share their unfiltered perspectives on the essence of play. It was an exceptional session filled with insights, candid moments, and pure joy. But, this event wasn’t just about sharing, it was a callout. As adults, it's crucial to listen to these young voices, understand their needs, and create environments where their play can flourish.🎈 Twenty-two children from thirteen different organizations and initiatives joined forces to amplify the voices of play. On July 25th, 2024 children from across India raised their voices and asked adults to hear the Voices of Play. As the true experts on ‘Play’ they spoke on “What play means to them”. VOICES OF PLAY conference of Children unlocks invaluable insights from diverse locations, situations, and backgrounds. Here is one message for every caring adult from a child from Tamil Nadu as she passionately said in Tamil, "When we play, we get hurt. Getting hurt is part of playing. Just because we get hurt, do not stop us from playing."
