We are super happy to share that our first investment in the SpaceTech sector AgniKul Cosmos crossed a significant milestone today 🚀. AgniKul Cosmos successfully launched SOrTeD (SubOrbital Technological Demonstrator) mission that made it the first company in the world to launch using a single-piece fully 3D printed semi-cryogenic rocket engine (“Agnilet” engine). It is noteworthy that this also was India’s first launch from Agnikul’s own private launch pad at Sriharikota. Congratulations to Team AgniKul Cosmos and the founders Srinath Ravichandran, Moin SPM, Satya Chakravarthy for their relentless perseverance to successfully pass this milestone after four aborted launches prior to today. Space sector requires patient capital and we are grateful to our LPs who have backed us in this investment. India's space sector has been making amazing progress post policy intervention by the present government. ISRO and IN-SPACe and Indian Institute of Technology, Madras have also played an instrumental role in Agnikul's journey so far. Congratulations to all the other existing investors who have supported Agnikul from the Seed round to the last Series B round 😊 ! In the overall scheme of things, this was a great first step towards commercialization of Agnikul’s innovative technology to send small payloads (satellites) to space in a cost effective manner and we wish team AgniKul Cosmos all the best in their space journey ahead. We are delighted to announce our next round of financing to fuel and accelerate our mission to revolutionize infrastructure inspections and defence applications. We’ve raised 43 crore equity infusion (primary and secondary) led by renowned investor Ashish Kacholia. The round saw participation from Samarthya Investment Advisors, Golden Birch Investments, Cogniphy Angel Fund, Krishna Defence and Allied Industries Limited and 3i Partners (Impact India Investment Partners), alongside enthusiastic backing from existing investors doubling and tripling down on their support. We intend to grow our operational capacity and enhance the inventory of underwater inspection solutions, covering high-end applications such as non-destructive testing (NDT) of metal and concrete structures, specialized inspection robotics for the process and hydrocarbon industry, real-time monitoring applications, and advanced digital reporting solutions.
