With the theme "United by Unique," M.Sc. Nursing students educated the public, patients, and caregivers on cancer prevention, early detection, treatment options, and the role of nutrition. Key highlights included a role play on cancer treatment, a poster presentation on risk factors, and a food pyramid exhibition emphasising healthy dietary choices. Enhancing Mobility | SRMCON NSS Initiative The NSS team of SRM College of Nursing carried out a meaningful initiative in Kadamboor on 24th January 2025, providing essential mobility aids to individuals with physical impairments. 30 students from 4th-year B.Sc. Nursing were actively involved, conducting comprehensive needs assessments and offering tailored training for the beneficiaries. 7 individuals received customised mobility devices, including 1 walker and 6 walking canes, greatly improving their independence in daily activities. Life Skill Training Workshop | SRMCON The SRM College of Nursing (SRMCON), in collaboration with the Clinical Psychology Department and University Wellness Program at SRMIST, organised a transformative Life Skill Training Workshop on January 22, 2025, for BSc IV Year Nursing students. The workshop aimed to equip students with vital tools for personal and professional growth, focusing on essential topics such as:  ~ Stress Management  ~ Improving Concentration  ~ Overcoming Bullying  ~ Building Resilience The event began with inspiring addresses by eminent leaders: ~ Dr. Helen Shaji J C, Dean, SRM College of Nursing ~ Dr. Bhasi Sukumaran, Professor and Head, Clinical Psychology ~ Dr. T. Sathya, University Wellness Program Coordinator ~ Dr. V. Valarmathi, Associate Professor, SRM College of Nursing Skilled facilitators led the interactive sessions, Dr. Sudha Balaji and Dr. Pavitra, Assistant Professors of Clinical Psychology, with support from Dr. T. Sathya and Mr. P. Bala Ganesh, University Wellness Program Associate.
