Shri Arvind Kumar, DG STPI, at STPI SANGAM event greeted the dignitaries on the dais and highlighted NGIS’s impactful journey, fostering 685 startups, creating 7000+ jobs, and driving ₹286 Cr in external funding. 🌟 Key Highlights from Shri Kumar's, DG STPI’s address at STPI SANGAM 🚀✨ 1️⃣ Inclusive Growth through NGIS: Shri Arvind Kumar emphasized inclusive growth by fostering startups from Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities, with 44% women-led startups in the STPI portfolio, showcasing a strong commitment to diversity and empowerment. 🌍👩💻 2️⃣ NGIS Impact & Achievements: Under the NGIS scheme, STPI has supported 685 startups, provided seed funding to 136 startups, and created over 7,000 jobs. These startups have generated ₹335 crore in revenue and secured ₹286 crore in external funding, far surpassing the ₹35 crore disbursed by NGIS. 💡📈 3️⃣ Leap Ahead – Co-Investment Model: To accelerate startup growth, STPI introduced ‘Leap Ahead’, a co-investment model offering up to ₹1 crore in funding, matching investments from angel investors and VCs. About us
STPI - Software Technology Parks of India is a premier S&T organization under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, established in 1991, with a mandate to promote software exports from the country. Today, with 14 jurisdictional directorates that comprises of 67 centers, out of which 59 centres are in Tier II & Tier III cities, STPI has expanded its presence across the country. STPI has ensured the growth of software exports and generated employment and entrepreneurial opportunities. STPI facilitates IT/ITES/ESDM industry by providing single window clearance services, world-class internet connectivity, state-of-the-art incubation & other infrastructure services, which aim to encourage, promote, and boost software exports. To strengthen the tech startup ecosystem in the country, STPI has launched 24 Centres of Entrepreneurship (CoEs) in emerging technology domains such as IoT, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Vision, Augmented & Virtual Reality, Gaming, Animation & Visual Effects, Data Science & Analytics, FinTech, AgriTech, MedTech, Autonomous Connected Electric & Shared (ACES) Mobility, ESDM, Industry 4.0, Drone, and Efficiency Augmentation. STPI has also implemented Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS) in 12 Tier II locations across India viz. Agartala, Bhilai, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Dehradun, Guwahati, Jaipur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Mohali, Patna, and Vijayawada to realize the vision of National Policy on Software Products (NPSP).
