“Gujarat ITI Principal Meet 2025” – ‘Vikas Path’ Initiative is driving Excellence in vocational Education at iACE, Gandhinagar   On 3rd March 2025, Suzuki Motor Gujarat (SMG) had the honor of attending the Gujarat ITI Principal Meet 2025, an initiative ‘Vikas Path’ that drives Excellence in Vocational Education organized by the International Automobile Centre of Excellence (iACE) at Gandhinagar. The event brought together 200 plus attendees (ITI Principals) from all over Gujarat, key government representatives, and industry leaders from the Automotive sector. During this important meet, we had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with Mr. Avinash Palash (Asst. Director – Employment and Training), Ms. Asha Patel (Regional Deputy Director Surat), Mr A. Shastri (Regional Deputy Director Baroda), Ms. Dhruti Patel (Deputy Director DET) and ITI Principals. Our discussions revolved around the critical role Vocational Education plays in shaping the future careers of ITI learners. At Suzuki Motor Gujarat, we understand the importance of guiding these learners, providing them with the right opportunities, and ensuring a clear career progression that leads to long-term success in the Automotive industry. We are committed to not only support these future professionals but also playing an active role in their growth. Our aim is to empower ITI learners, help them realize their full potential, and offer them a pathway for progression within Suzuki Motor Gujarat. By fostering strong partnerships with educational institutions, we are working together to ensure that the young talent has resources and guidance it needs to build a successful future at SMG. Suzuki Motor Gujarat (SMG) is immensely proud to reaffirm its unwavering commitment to build a collaborative partnership with Industrial Training Institutes (ITI’s) across Gujarat. As a part of its ongoing efforts to contribute to the regional economy and promote community engagement, SMG had a distinct honor of sponsoring the Ahmedabad region cricket competition for ITI staff, organized by the Directorate of Employment & Training, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.   This prestigious event saw participation from 8 districts and 73 ITI’s, with 16 teams, including 4 women ITI staff teams, competing in a spirited tournament. Over 250+ players, including both Class 1 and Class 2 Officers, showcased their skills from 9th to 12th January 2025 at the Bhavani Cricket ground, Balisana, Gujarat.   It was a pleasant privilege to engage with esteemed dignitaries of the event namely : Mr. Manish Purani (Regional Deputy Director – Employment and Training) Mr. Avinash Palash (Assistant Director – Employment and Training) Mr. V D Rajput (Assistant Director – Employment and Training) ITI Principals, and Staff members dedicated to shaping the future of skilled talent in India.   This event is a testament of building collaborative relationships with ITI’s, nurturing talent, and supporting the local community from futuristic perspective. On 27th November 2024, Suzuki Motor Gujarat successfully organized its first Quality Communication Meeting with our esteemed Business Partners in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The event was an important forum to address key issues and align expectations with our stakeholders. Key Focus Areas included: 🚗 Japan Vehicle Quality Expectations – A comprehensive discussion on the evolving standards and how we can meet these expectations. ⚡ Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Challenges and Expectations – Addressing the complexities involved in the production of electric vehicles and the associated expectations. 📋 Kakotora, Maru-A/AR/J and Regulatory Explanations – An in-depth review of compliance requirements and regulatory standards that impact our industry. During the event, SMG top management appreciated the suppliers who achieved zero defect target in the first half of this financial year and rewarded the quality circle winners. The event emphasized collaboration and strategic alignment, ensuring that all stakeholders are prepared for the challenges and opportunities ahead. We are delighted to share that SMG recently organized a Kite Flying Event, accompanied by the distribution of traditional “Tilgud” sweets, to celebrate the festive spirit and bring our employees closer together. This initiative was especially meaningful for our team members who are far from their hometowns, offering them a sense of home and connection. With more than 7,500 employees participating, the event created a vibrant atmosphere, promoting teamwork and strengthening the sense of unity among us all. The colorful skies, filled with kites soaring high, symbolized not only the excitement of the occasion but also the shared aspirations and achievements that unite us as one SMG family. The day was an excellent opportunity to boost morale, express our appreciation, and celebrate the collective energy that drives our success. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this event a grand success with their enthusiastic participation. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of coming together as a team. Let’s continue to soar higher, just like the kites we flew, and achieve great milestones together!
