SVP participated in the National Stock Exchange's recent event on "Accelerating Social Impact with the Social Stock Exchange." The event brought together leaders from NGOs, CSR initiatives, foundations, and other key players in the ecosystem to explore innovative strategies for driving meaningful social change. Our partners, Harish Yarlagadda and Shobu Yarlagadda, were on the panel, where they shared valuable insights and contributed to thought-provoking discussions on this crucial topic. Here are some key highlights from the event: Platform Growth: SSE had 80 registered NPOs on the platform, with 10 active projects open for funding. Funding Milestone: A remarkable ₹22 Crores had been raised through the exchange so far. Streamlined Process: NGOs could register in 45-60 days, with a nominal cost of ₹5,000. Trust and Transparency: Shobu highlighted SSE’s potential to become a preferred platform for donations due to its rigorous due diligence and reporting standards. Revisiting Priorities: Harish introduced the “SDGs Wedding Cake” model, urging civil society to prioritize biosphere issues—reminding everyone that without a stable climate, social and economic progress could be at risk. Introducing ‘Sociocons’: Mayur Patnala (India/Bharat), CEO of Nirmaan Organization, coined the term “Sociocons” (Social Unicorns) and emphasized the need to create a supportive ecosystem for nonprofits, like the one for startups, to amplify their impact. It was an inspiring event, and we’re excited to see the momentum it has sparked in the social sector! #SVP #SSE #SocialImpact #Philanthropy #NonprofitInnovation #SustainableDevelopment #ClimateAction Ajit Rangnekar Paparao Chintalapudi Ram Kaundinya Sunita Reddy Cheruku Usha Pendyala Shobu Yarlagadda Ram Manjeri Nagesh Reddy Gouravaram Nidhi Reddy Narendra Paruchuri Kishore Kothapalli Harish Yarlagadda Aamrapali Sharma Prachi Mishra NSE India Kaoshal K. SVP India’s Chennai Chapter Management Committee members met their counterparts from other chapters and participated in a day-long capacity building session earlier this month. The day was curated by the SVP India board members. Aparna Bijapurkar from BCG conducted sessions on engaged philanthropy and how to enable it; she also facilitated an insightful session on building strategy and vision at the Chapter level. Partners shared their individual journey towards philanthropy and giving. Our partners felt re-energized at the end of the day as we found an alignment in the vision and strong singleness of purpose towards engaged philanthropy.
