We're excited to share that we have crossed a major milestone in our validation and operational feasibility of Swaasa® AI platform for detecting likely presence of Pulmonary Tuberculosis (PTB) among patients presenting with cough in India. Thanks to the invaluable support of AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi) All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Gorakhpur, Jawaharlal Institute Of Postgraduate Medical Education And Research (JIPMER) and our donor agencies India Health Fund, ACT without whom this would have been impossible. We have now ✅ Enrolled 3,000 subjects ✅ Collected 10,000+ data points ✅ Analyzed 50,000+ cough samples This study adds to what is already the world’s largest physician-annotated cough sound database, fueling our mission to make affordable TB screening accessible to millions. Together, we are shaping the future of respiratory healthcare globally!

Swaasa® - By Salcit Technologies reposted this

Recently, I was amazed to learn that even the quietest sounds our bodies make can reveal so much about our health. I was even more excited to know that Google's AI teams are using this knowledge to improve healthcare for people across the Asia-Pacific. Here are just 3 ways: Using AI to listen for early signs of disease: Imagine if a simple cough could help diagnose tuberculosis and other diseases, especially in remote places. That's the potential of "HeAR”, an innovative tool we’re exploring with India-based Swaasa® - By Salcit Technologies. Using AI to improve breast cancer screenings: Early detection is key to fighting breast cancer and AI can make ultrasound screenings more accessible - even where mammography isn't an option. We’re proud to partner with Taiwan-based Chang Gung Memorial Hospital to make this happen. Using AI to better support people with hearing loss: AI has the potential to help hearing aids cut through background noise, so everyone can stay connected and engage with the world around them. This is exciting work we’re doing with partners in Australia like Cochlear, the National Acoustic Laboratories and Macquarie University. These projects are truly inspiring and as a daughter, partner, sibling and friend - I’m excited by the ability to harness the power of AI for good!
