About us

We at Team Pegasus are a group of students of BITS Goa with a common interest in aerodynamics and aviation. The current team consists of members of The Aerodynamics Club, who have represented the institute at various collegiate and university level aero modelling competitions organized in the country. Our major goal is to design UAVs for the AIAA- Design, Build, Fly competition. Team Pegasus made its first appearance in the SAE ADC 2020 in the micro class category and secured an overall rank of 20 among the 63 teams who cleared technical inspection round and 6th position in the technical presentation round. Since its founding, it has been selected for fly-offs in consecutive AIAA competitions.

This achievement marks a monumental milestone for Team Pegasus | The Aerodynamics Club, symbolizing the culmination of three years of unwavering commitment, tireless effort, and relentless pursuit of excellence. Each member of our team has poured their heart and soul into this endeavor, overcoming challenges and pushing boundaries to reach this momentous occasion. Our journey has been nothing short of remarkable. From countless late nights in the aero room fine-tuning our designs to rigorous testing sessions pushing the limits of innovation, every step has been a testament to our passion for aerospace engineering and our determination to succeed. As we prepare to represent our club, institution, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani - Goa Campus and the country on the global stage, we carry with us the pride of our achievements and the support of our mentors and fellow enthusiasts. Together, we stand as a testament to the power of teamwork, ingenuity, and perseverance. To all who have supported us along this incredible journey, we extend our deepest gratitude. Months of dedication, collaboration, and innovation have fuelled our journey to create a cutting-edge aircraft that will be put to the test against teams from around the globe. Our team has overcome challenges, embraced creativity, and pushed the boundaries of aerospace engineering to craft a solution that we believe will soar to new heights during the competition. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way– from mentors and advisors to friends and colleagues along with our faculty advisor Vaibhav J.   • Team Pegasus, the fixed-wing UAV design team of The Aerodynamics Club, BITS Pilani, is thrilled to announce their qualification to the fly-off stage of DBF! Design, Build, Fly (DBF) is a competition organised by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The fly-offs will be held at Wichita, Kansas, in April. We look forward to progressing through the rest of the competition with eagerness and dedication!
