Two weeks ago, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the AIAA SciTech Forum 2025 in Orlando, Florida. This was my first conference, and it was an amazing experience! I had the honor of presenting my undergraduate research, "Pressure-Induced Separation of a Laminar Boundary Layer over a Partially-Slip Wall," which was also published in the conference proceedings. Participating in this event allowed me to share my findings, engage with experts in the field, and learn about the cutting-edge advancements in aerospace and fluid dynamics This experience has further fueled my passion for research, and I look forward to attending more conferences in the future as I continue my journey toward earning a Ph.D.

I had a fantastic time catching up with colleagues and meeting new faces at AIAA National Capital Section's event last night. AIAA CEO Clay Mowry spoke on his vision for the Institute and how AIAA will play a role in the exciting times ahead for the aerospace industry. Thank you to the National Capital Section leadership Andrew Tidwell, Nathan Eads , Nevin Jestus, Michael Barton and David Brandt for organizing!

I am so grateful and honored to have been selected as one of the fourteen 2025 AIAA SciTech Rising Stars in Aerospace! This incredible opportunity allowed me to attend the AIAA SciTech Forum & Exposition from January 5th-10th and engage with the aerospace community. I have significantly grown my knowledge about aerospace by attending events like technical paper sessions, exclusive networking events, and speaking with aerospace enthusiasts. Some topics I learned about include propulsion, clean energy, satellite lasers, autonomous flight, air taxis, and pilots. Furthermore, listening to the incredibly accomplished women in aerospace speak at the Women at SciTech panel was so inspiring and helped me learn how to navigate the aerospace field more. I also got to visit the NASA Kennedy Space Flight Center for the first time as part of the Rising Stars program thanks to Basil Hassan . My favorite part of SciTech was the lasting relationships I’ve built with AIAA (executives/leadership, the DWG, sponsors/corporate members), fellow Rising Stars, and many more. Thank you so much AIAA Clay Mowry Basil Hassan Alexandra D'Imperio Michael Lagana for the opportunity to be part of this amazing experience at SciTech! I will cherish these memories, relationships, and knowledge. SciTech is proof that the aerospace industry is vibrant, innovative, and driven.
