Dietary diversity for infants and children: The Times of India reported on October 23, 2024, about a WHO/UNICEF study indicating that three-quarters of Indian children aged 6 to 23 months lack nutritional diversity. https://lnkd.in/eJH3g9pV This issue often stems from parental ignorance or unfounded fears of allergies, leading to a limited diet that can result in deficiencies of essential macro and micronutrients, even when food availability is adequate. Additionally, a diverse diet is crucial for developing a healthy gut microbiome, which offers numerous benefits throughout childhood and into adulthood. So, how can parents introduce a variety of foods to their children? To explore this topic further, I’ve created a video in response to requests from many of my patients. While it may be a bit lengthy, those seeking guidance for their own children will find it informative.
