A few months ago, we began working on image capture for users taking online exams. While our initial rollout was basic, we quickly responded to customer feedback for more advanced features. Some key requests included: 1) Detecting if more than one person is taking the exam 2) Tracking how long a user is away from the exam screen 3) Monitoring if the user is frequently moving away from the screen 4) If no person is detected while taking the exam (Faking the camera with dummy images) We’ve now implemented these features and flag such events in real-time! Exciting News from Testpress! Over the past few years, we've received multiple requests for a feature that’s gained significant attention since COVID-19: Auto Proctoring for online assessments. These requests primarily came from new inbound inquiries, rather than our existing customers. Until now, we chose not to develop this feature for three key reasons: 1) It wasn't a requirement for our primary customer segments (Indian Test Prep Institutes). 2) Established players in the market already offering solutions in this space. 3) Auto Proctoring is typically needed for high-stakes exams like hiring assessments and certifications, which are outside our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). As a bootstrapped company, we’ve always focused on allocating our resources effectively to sustain profitability and growth. However, we recently faced a compelling opportunity that we couldn’t ignore. A leading unicorn approached us with a unique challenge that the market leader couldn’t solve: they needed Auto Proctoring at scale, but at just 1/10th of the current market cost. Given our substantial growth and profitability since 2020, we are now in a position to invest in developing this feature. We believe that offering Auto Proctored assessments at a significantly lower cost will not only expand our Total Addressable Market (TAM) but also help us achieve our ambitious goal of reaching 100 Crores ARR by 2027. Following our recent addition of 4K Streaming in TPStreams, we've now added the ability to subdivide a video into Chapters. This is a popular feature on YouTube for educational videos. As TPStreams is mostly used by creators producing educational content, this feature is highly sought after by our creators. With Video Chapters, creators can add information and context to each portion of the video, allowing users to easily rewatch different parts of the video. We are also happy to share that Raj Vikramaditya has chosen TPStreams for his upcoming TUF+ series and that shows the trust and confidence creators have in our platform. At TPStreams, our goal is to provide a secure and branded YouTube-like video player for all websites and apps streaming videos.
