𝐆𝐞𝐧 𝐙 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧! This is a myth that many leaders may carry about Gen Z. Gen Z is a keen set of learners. That is if the learning helps them explore career paths in their organization. How do we make learning more relevant to this generation? One way to do it is to take them through meaningful experiences that help them learn, apply and see impact. Game based learning is a wonderful methodology for this. There are several more myths about this wonderful generation of employees. One just needs a perspective. Helping our employees and leaders navigate through that change is another. How do we effectively convey this message and experience in a leadership training program? Here is what our wonderful facilitators Preethi Sankar and Nandakumar Gopalan did with an enthusiastic team at Verticurl. A board game called 𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐃 helps one understand change and its impact on the team, leading to better decision-making and actions during the shift. Practicing Diversity Equity and Inclusion starts from the leadership. It cannot be just a buzzword. Instead it is something that needs to be put into practice. The team at The Catalyst Training had the privilege of working on conducting a series of sensitization programs on Diversity Equity and Inclusion in a fun and inclusive format. We believe Leadership Trainings need not be only about skills and business outcomes. In fact, DEI is a key part of Leadership Trainings and not "just another HR activity" Read our small case study on this exciting L&D project of ours. Kudos to Nirmala S. Rubina Khajurwala for all the hard work on this. #learninganddevelopment #training #dei #diversity #equity #inclusion

𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬 If you are serious about growing your organization's overall capability then focusing on the right here right now will not suffice. Investing in an employee's learning journey has 3 key objectives: 𝐓𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐘 - 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐍𝐎𝐖: What skills can help them improve in their current roles. This could come from existing competency gaps or organization priorities. 𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐎𝐖 - 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰: Most employees have career aspirations and eye a certain future role. They must be equipped with relevant skills that make them ready for that role. This ensures that they step into their new roles with confidence 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 - 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞: There are skills like empathy, communication, influencing, managing & navigating through changes etc that will serve employees anywhere on the employee life cycle. They may not be able to see immediate application but will certainly help them when relevant situations arise. #leadershipdevelopment #learninganddevelopment #training #leadershipprograms #leadershiptraining
