About us

ABOUT TSDSI: The Indian Telecom Industry, comprising operators and manufacturers, Academia and R&D organizations came together to form Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI) on 7 January 2014, as an embodiment of the Govt.’s resolve, expressed in the National Telecom Policy 2012 (NTP 2012), to create an Indian Telecom Standards Development Organization (TSDO), for contributing to next generation telecom standards and drive the eco-system of IP creation in India, formally recognised by the Government. WHO ARE WE? TSDSI is an autonomous, membership based, standards development organization(SDO) for Telecom/ICT products and services in India. We develop standards for access, back-haul, and infrastructure systems, solutions and services that best meet India specific Telecom/ICT needs, based on research and innovation in India. We work closely with global standards’ bodies to reflect Indian requirements into International telecom/ICT standards. We play an important role in encouraging generation of Indian IPRs in this technology intensive field and get them incorporated into International standards. This in turn promotes indigenous research, product development and manufacturing. Department of Telecommunications & Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India are jointly supporting TSDSI as India’s Telecom/ICT SDO. TSDSI is registered as a not for profit Society, under the Indian Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. OUR OBJECTIVES ARE: # Developing, promoting and standardizing India-specific Telecom/ICT requirements and solutions # Taking Indian requirements to global standards organizations # Helping create standards based manufacturing expertise in the country # Providing guidance and leadership to developing countries

Dive into the Future: A Glimpse into the TTDD2024 Conference Thank you to all participants who joined us at TTDD2024, whether you were attending for the first time or returning to explore the cutting-edge advancements in telecommunications. This year, we welcomed 594 participants, both domestic and international. It's inspiring to see 313 new participants joining our community, alongside 281 repeat participants who continue to drive forward-thinking discussions. TTDD2024 was more than just a conference; it was a platform where ideas converged to shape the future of connectivity. With an average of 3 sessions attended per participant, the engagement levels underscored the vibrant exchange of knowledge and insights. Key Takeaways: ·     The conference kicked off with a deep dive into the building blocks of 6G. Discussions revolved around creating a future that's not just about super-fast speeds and ultra-low latency, but also about smarter and more efficient networks. Imagine a world where machines seamlessly talk to each other, optimizing processes and creating a more interconnected reality. ·     Day 2 brought artificial intelligence (AI) to the forefront. Experts explored how AI can revolutionize networks, making them faster, but also capable of anticipating our needs and constantly improving. The possibilities for a future powered by AI-driven networks are truly mind-boggling! Security, of course, is paramount in this hyper-connected world. The conference addressed the challenges of securing our privacy and safeguarding critical infrastructure in the age of 6G. Quantum cryptography, a fascinating technology that harnesses the bizarre properties of quantum mechanics, emerged as a potential game-changer for future security solutions. ·     Bridging the digital divide in India was a key focus on Day 3. Discussions centred on using innovative technologies like non-terrestrial networks (think connecting to the internet from a flying drone!) to reach remote areas and ensure everyone has access to the digital world. Additionally, exploring e-learning models showcased a commitment to utilizing technology for inclusive education. ·     The final day focused on the big picture. A panel of experts discussed how 6G can address real-world problems, from providing advanced healthcare solutions for an aging population to delivering accessible education for all. Assistive technologies and localized healthcare initiatives were identified as promising areas, but challenges like digital literacy and uneven connectivity gaps were acknowledged.
