Q3 results published and the outlook is good.

Chief Executive Officer at Icelandair Group

We published our Q3 results in the Stock Exchange yesterday. There we highlighted the fact that with a joint effort of our team, we managed to successfully respond to changes in demand to Iceland by leveraging our flexibility and shifting focus to the transatlantic market, resulting in a strong load factor. This, however, impacted our results due to lower yields on the transatlantic market. The market to Iceland is starting to regain its strength, the outlook is promising, and we expect significant improvement in profitability in the fourth quarter as well as the full year of 2025. Building on our proven business model and core strengths, coupled with our focused efforts on driving efficiencies and strengthening our competitiveness, I firmly believe that Icelandair is in a prime position to capture emerging opportunities and create long-term value for shareholders and the Icelandic society. https://bit.ly/4e23Otw

For our hard-working operations teams, it’s an action-packed hour between an aircraft landing and then departing once again. Watch the video to see how the magic happens at Keflavík airport to ensure a quick and smooth turnaround to keep our schedule on track. We’re proud to be recognized among Europe’s leading airlines in terms of on-time performance this summer. Punctuality makes everyone happy – especially our customers! Our September on-time performance was our highest since 2009, and increased by 5.6% year-on-year.

A lot of work goes into the arrival of a new fleet member – especially when it’s the first Airbus to join our fleet! TF-IAA rolled out of the Airbus paint shop in Hamburg yesterday, dressed in its new Icelandair livery. Next up: installing engines and seats. We’ll take delivery of the aircraft in November, and we’re excited to welcome a total of four new Airbus to our fleet by summer 2025.
