Earlier this week Prescriby welcomed Minister Andrew Parsons and Per Unheim to our Canadian office in St. John's to talk about Prescriby's strategy for North American expansion and the impact we're currently driving in #Newfoundland and #Labrador. A purely downstream focus on addiction treatment is both costly and unsustainable. We must put more emphasis on upstream #prevention to truly make an impact on the #opioid crisis. 🏆 Brilliant news from our partnership with the Reykjavik Primary Care Clinic (Heilsuvernd ) as we received funding from the Icelandic Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation (Háskóla-, iðnaðar- og nýsköpunarráðuneytið) to boost up and expand the use of Prescriby! 🏥 Heilsuvernd has already been a leading force in providing prescription opioid tapering service to their clients through Prescriby, but with this funding they will expand their services to benzodiazepines and z-medication (sleep medication). 👏 This is such an important recognition of our mission and will bring such a big benefit to the communities in Iceland where people in need of tapering service gain increased access to care as well as quality service. 🙏 Big thanks to the Icelandic Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation for their support and progressive leadership towards innovation in Iceland! 📣 Stay tuned for more exciting news! #opioids #benzodiazepines #zmedication #prevention #primarycare #digitalhealth #tapering
