Le Fourgon, a Marquette-lez-Lille startup innovating in glass deposits for reuse, announced an €8.2 million extension to its Series A funding to expand its ranges of returnable products and develop its B2B offering 🇫🇷 🥛 This financing was carried out in two stages: €5.7 million raised from its main investors – Id4 ventures, Teampact.ventures, La Poste Ventures, with the arrival of Bred, Noshaq and Future Positive Capital – followed by €2.5 million raised from 1590 individual investors via the sustainable investment platform LITA.co . “We are deeply grateful to our investors and the 1590 citizens who have joined us in this adventure. This contribution to our Series A not only strengthens our capacity for action; it testifies to a collective commitment to a fundamental change in our consumption patterns. At a time when France has set itself the target of reducing the use of plastic packaging by 50% by 2030, we want to accelerate the democratization of reuse and make deposits an essential reflex. Because changing our habits to protect the environment should be within everyone’s reach, ” says Charles Christory, CEO and Co-founder of Le Fourgon. https://lnkd.in/dD7Rdse8

Brussels-based startup Pleevi has raised €1 million to expand its AI-driven smart EV charging technology across Europe in its ambition to manage 25k charging points by 2027 🇧🇪 🚘 The funding round saw contributions from Angelwise, Seeder Fund, Noshaq Energy, QBIC III Fund, and Angel investor Loïc Bar. “The unique aspect of Pleevi is that our entire charging process is not only based on real-time information but also incorporates what the next hours will bring,” explains Wout Lagae, Co-founder and CEO of Pleevi. “By forecasting energy flows 24 hours ahead, Pleevi’s AI-driven optimisation ensures efficient energy usage without overloading the grid. For instance, on a sunny morning, we can account for abundant solar energy expected later in the day, as well as wind energy forecasts. Our algorithm also factors in the energy needs of the main building on a given day. This helps determine how much energy will be available for charging infrastructure. On a Friday, when many employees work from home, the capacity will differ significantly from a busy Tuesday when high energy demand is required both in the parking area and the building. This allows us to offer not only cheaper but also greener charging sessions.” https://lnkd.in/dmswmUkN
