A techno-economic feasibility study commissioned by Earths Energy identifies the Paralana geothermal ♨️ site in South Australia as a target for EGS development 🙌. The TEFS work was done for both the Paralana and West Flinders site of EEI in South Australia, following up on a review previously done by JRG Energy that indicated that these assets have the potential for commercial electricity generation. Tests have confirmed a high-temperature geothermal, of more than 188°C 🌡️, resource tapped by 5200m geothermal ♨️ exploration well drilled by Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corporation in Hainan, China. The project team believes that there is a very rich geothermal resource within the 50 square kilometers around the project site, roughly equivalent to 1.4 billion❗ tons of standard coal resources. E2E Energy Solutions Inc. and Novus Earth Energy has announced a partnership for the Latitude 53 geothermal heat ♨ and power ⚡ project in Hinton, Alberta, Canada. The project envisions a two-phase development which will include a geothermal heated greenhouse ☝, and a 10-MW geothermal power plant. Construction is expected to begin by 2025 🙌. The second well (GT-2) for the geothermal heating project ♨️ in Sochaczew, Poland has been drilled, and the project will proceed to construction of surface facilities 🙌. GT-2 was drilled by Exalo Drilling S.A. to a depth of 1620 meters. Testing of the well indicated an outlet temperature of 44.5 °C, a flowrate of 184 m3/hour, and good injectivity.
