Our CEO, Stefano Lorenzi, will be a speaker on November 7 in Paris at the EIT InnoEnergy event, “𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞: 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐦, 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐬”. He will be participating in a panel called, “How Can We Create the Right Market Conditions for European Photovoltaic Modules?" This is an opportunity to discuss 3SUN’s experience as Europe’s only Gigafactory to produce solar cells and modules, showcasing our example as a best practice for reviving the solar supply chain in the continent. Achieving this ambitious goal requires both an adequate legislative framework and incentives and measures that support the relaunch of the European photovoltaic industry, starting with the NZIA (Net Zero Industry Act). How can high-efficiency solar technologies contribute to the European competitiveness in terms of innovation? Our CEO, Stefano Lorenzi, discussed this and other insights during the Friends of Europe #ClimateEnergySummit, partnered by Enel. He started by highlighting the role of our 3Sun’s Gigafactory in Catania, Europe’s largest solar cell and module factory, which produces cutting-edge Heterojunction Technology (HJT) and is preparing for the next leap: TANDEM technology. Lorenzi emphasized how this innovation could revolutionize solar efficiency by boosting energy capture beyond 30%. For this to happen, strategic measures are needed, such as the Net-Zero Industry Act, to create a resilient EU solar value chain and strengthen Europe’s competitive edge globally.
