A new UPS logistics center just inaugurated at “Leonardo da Vinci” Rome #Fiumicino airport ✈ With this launch, we further strengthen our logistics network, while supporting the growth of Italy’s small and medium-sized businesses - which are vital to national exports - and allowing them to access global markets more easily. 📦 Strategically located near the runway, with a 2,700 m² area and the capacity to sort up to 2,500 packages per hour, this new facility allows us to ensure faster and safer operations.  In combination with the new daily flight from Cologne/Bonn to Rome Fiumicino, we are thus enhancing the volume of imports and exports, adding an additional weekly capacity of 350 tons. Our Chief Aviation Officer Ivan Bassato commented: “This investment marks a significant step in enhancing the logistical efficiency and connectivity of Rome Fiumicino Airport, further strengthening its strategic role in global trade. In 2024, Fiumicino recorded a 44% increase in cargo volumes compared to 2023, nearly three times the national average. Yesterday, our CEO Marco Troncone spoke at by Fit-Cisl Nazionale’s conference on the strategic integration of air and rail transport for competitiveness, sharing Aeroporti di Roma’s vision on the key issues for the future of our industry. 🌍 With nearly 50 million passengers in 2024 and growth expected to exceed 53 million in 2025, Fiumicino is reaffirming its position as one of Europe’s most dynamic hubs. The current capacity of #Fiumicino - recently named by ACI World - Airports Council International as Europe’s Best Airport in terms of quality for the 8th consecutive year - is around 60 mln; according to our CEO, it is now urgent to “work in perspective, remain competitive with the other large international airports that are accelerating on their expansions, and focus on sustainable infrastructural development.” In this context, integrating #air and #rail transport is one of the strategic drivers to enhance the competitiveness of the mobility system, strengthening Rome’s role as a key hub in global mobility. Yesterday, together with our Chief Aviation Officer Ivan Bassato, our Senior Vice President Transformation & Technology Emanuele Calà and our Senior Vice President General Counsel & Compliance Primiano De Maria, we met with the three ground handlers selected for the 2025-2032 period: Aviapartner, Aviation Services S.p.A. and Airport Handling S.p.A. The meeting - held at #Fiumicino airport - was an opportunity to welcome in the Airport Operation Center (APOC) permanent representatives from our ground handling partners and reaffirm the strategic importance of their role at the airport.   As a strong focus was placed on the importance of coordination within the #APOC, the ongoing technological evolution in the sector were also discussed - with a focus on how the adoption of increasingly advanced digital tools (e.g., Assaia – The ApronAI) can optimize airport performances, and collaborate to European Network performance, through a collaborative, continuous improvement approach.   Our handlers’ constant contribution to strengthening operational excellence at Fiumicino airport is highly valued. Meet FlyORO, an innovative startup founded in 2021 in Singapore that's reshaping the aviation fuel sector through flexible, on-demand Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) blending solutions. Flyoro is currently conducting a feasibility study to evaluate the potential of proximity SAF and Jet-A1 blending in the last mile of the fuel supply chain. The project aims to facilitate SAF uptake, reducing carbon emissions from aircraft operations. With its adaptable, modular technology, Flyoro ensures seamless integration and a robust, accessible SAF production process—essential for greener and more flexible aviation operations. As part of our collaboration, ADR's #InnovationCabinCrew mentors Giannandrea Ingallinera and Angela Di Lullo are actively supporting Flyoro in exploring the future of sustainable aviation fuel, driving positive change in the sector. #TogetherBeyondFlying

We’re excited to introduce Neuron Soundware, a Prague-based startup founded in 2016 that specializes in advanced asset monitoring through IoT and Machine Learning. At ADR, we're currently testing their ML solution across critical infrastructure including elevators, moving walkways, ATUs, and water pumps. Their technology provides real-time condition monitoring, predictive maintenance capabilities, and anomaly detection—enabling our teams to identify developing issues before they result in equipment failures. The #InnovationCabinCrew mentors Stefano Biondi Mattia Ubaldi at ADR value the concrete benefits this solution delivers: enhanced data-driven decision making, proactive maintenance scheduling, and operational efficiency improvements. The system's ability to detect subtle changes in equipment performance is helping us transition from reactive to preventive maintenance approaches. Last Tuesday, our CEO Marco Troncone joined hundreds of global leaders at the #TerraCarta Roundtables & Exhibition in London, an initiative by Sustainable Markets Initiative (#SMI) - serving as a practical roadmap for the private sector to contribute to the world’s 2030 targets. He intervened in the session “The Aviation Ecosystem – The Next Five Years”, dedicated to exploring the challenges and opportunities relating to the industry’s transition. During his speech, our CEO entered the debate on #SAF, explaining how Aeroporti di Roma has been a pioneer in its adoption (making it available for the first time in Italy at Fiumicino in 2021) and highlighting ADR’s continuous commitment to promote the use and uptake of #SustainableAviationFuel - from participating in innovative projects, to working alongside institutions and research centers to explore feasible and efficient transportation, storage, and distribution solutions for SAF. As he discussed the need to work in synergy to guide an effective and just transition, he talked about Fondazione Patto Decarbonizzazione Trasporto Aereo (PACTA), emphasizing the importance of such a national alliance in the path towards #decarbonisation; in this context, he suggested the opportunity to create an international partnership between #Pacta and its French and Spanish counterparts. #TogetherBeyondFlying
