Founded in 1978, Cavallino, Inc., quickly became the publisher of the most important, reputable and interesting magazine about Ferrari history. In 1992 Cavallino started The Classic, the Concorso d'Eleganza entirely dedicated to the prancing horse. The past weekend Cavallino Classic has been held for the fourth year in Modena, at the luxury and sophisticated Casa Maria Luigia. Terre di Canossa is an event dedicated to classic cars that thrives on three core elements: an exciting formula for thrilling routes and skill trials, captivating scenery and locations, exceptional hospitality, and an unforgettable gastronomic experience. Over its decade-long history, Terre di Canossa’s ability to draw participants from all over the World with truly magnificent cars means that these ingredients are not only present but truly exemplary.   The fourteenth edition concluded on Sunday, April 21, at Forte dei Marmi, after a scenic three-day journey that crossed the Apuan Alps and their marble quarries, Tuscany, with roads where beautiful driving is guaranteed and places of unique charm such as Lucca, Pisa, and Viareggio. Finally, the drivers crossed Eastern Liguria with the captivating roads of Cinque Terre and the Gulf of Poets. The conclusion and awards ceremony brought an additional surprise: the unveiling of La Canniccia Motor Club, a venue created for automotive enjoyment that offers, alongside its elegance and well-maintained facilities, a track and paddock for testing both classic cars and modern supercars, enhancing the attraction of Versilia. The beauty of the Terre di Canossa 2024 route and the originality of the special stages were enhanced by a tribute to Giacomo Puccini on the centenary of his passing.   The awards ceremony, held by Luigi Orlandini, CEO and Chairman of Canossa Events, was truly special and full of surprises. First of all, the ranking for the team with the most participants, Scuderia Classica Belgica, that outpaced the numerous groups of Americans and Argentinians. The Alfa Revival Cup enters its twelfth year, celebrating the glories of Alfa Romeo's past. The opening event will be held at Vallelunga from April 19-21.   Alfa Romeo's sporting legacy fills volumes. It includes not only the pre-war international victories when it was Enzo Ferrari who raced them with his Scuderia, but also the two Formula 1 World Championships of 1950 and 1951, now in the distant past. However, it’s the countless successes in Touring, Grand Touring, Sports Prototype, and DTM races up until the new millennium that keep the passion for these iconic vehicles with the Quadrifoglio burning bright.   Organized by Canossa Events, the Alfa Revival Cup brings back the competitive spirit and passion of historic racing. The event admits Touring, Competition Touring, Grand Touring, and Competition Grand Touring cars, as well as Special Production (Group 5 Silhouette) from 1947 to 1981, divided into classes based on period, category, and engine size. Alfa Romeo has built and raced many quintessential sports cars, and the starting grid of each Alfa Revival Cup race is the clear demonstration.   The format, based on a single one-hour race, is designed to combine excitement, fun, and strategy, with two drivers having a pit stop window for the driver change, between the twentieth and fortieth minute. The stop, for safety reasons, is set at 60 seconds. Following each race, participants are ranked in two categories: overall and within their class. Points are also awarded based on a historical significance coefficient, which, when added together, will determine the final standings of the Championship.   The series spans six events, kicking off at the Vallelunga Piero Taruffi circuit with free practice sessions on Friday and the qualifying rounds and race on Saturday, April 20. The agenda also includes challenging international venues such as Mugello, Misano World Circuit, and Austria's Red Bull Ring.   Despite its amateur status, the Championship's organizing body guarantees a high-quality event. Leading teams, including OKP Racing, Jolly Squadra Corse and Formula GT offer outstanding technical and logistical support, ensuring that independent racers can compete without feeling at a competitive disadvantage. The same goes for the drivers, some of whom bring a wealth of expertise and impressive sports credentials.   The Championship, organized under the guidance of CSAI and ACI Sport, enjoys support from sponsors such as Caffè Cagliari and OKP, the latter renowned for its quality and expertise in supplying parts for classic Italian brands, particularly Alfa Romeo. Over the years, OKP has evolved into a global benchmark for car enthusiasts, with over 10,000 items for Italian vehicles dating from 1950 to today. Its international logistics network not only supplies parts but also offers a range of accessories and lifestyle products. OKP's proactive involvement in racing underscores the superior quality and longevity of its parts.

Can a car ever be a piece of art? The Ferrari F355 GTS already is an automotive masterpiece itself, but the one painstakingly hand-painted by Ton Pret is the superb example to dispel any doubts. Cavallino went into details of this colorful bodywork and drove the F355 to downtown Manhattan for a special photo shoot. Terre di Canossa 2024 is not just about classic car racing, but it's characterized by an exciting culinary itinerary combining the finest local wines, traditional cuisine and the creativity of local award-winning chefs, all of which are savoured in unique and exclusive locations. During the three days there will be a bunch of elegant gatherings, such as the opening evening at the Twiga Beach Club in Forte dei Marmi and the Day2's dinner at the Bambaissa Beach Club of the Augustus Hotel Resort. Terre di Canossa 2024 highlights: culture and refined pleasure at an automotive event that’s good for Italy. A large majority of foreign competitors will step on three stages, centered around Forte dei Marmi, showcasing the charm of Tuscany, the Apuan Alps, and the Cinque Terre. The race will celebrate the Centenary of Giacomo Puccini in the places he lived and loved. The "Grand finale" will coincide with La Canniccia Motor Club “del Forte” reopening: the passion for automobiles connects Canossa and La Canniccia. On Friday, April 19th, following Thursday’s initial inspections and welcome dinner, competitors will tackle the challenging ascents and passes leading to Castelnuovo Garfagnana, then descend towards the enchanting city of Lucca, only to climb the mountains again, traversing Collodi, Passo del Trebbio, and Ponte del Diavolo. The day ends in Viareggio, where the event pays its first tribute to Giacomo Puccini.   Saturday 20th brings new landscapes: the marble-rich Apuan Alps, the historic Malaspina Castle, then on to the enchanting Liguria with the Cinque Terre, Portovenere, the Gulf of Poets, Montemarcello, and back to Forte dei Marmi.   Sunday 21st heads to Lake Massaciuccoli, a place dear to Puccini, and Pontedera for a unique assembly of ten thousand Vespa enthusiasts at the iconic factory of the world-renowned scooter. The journey concludes in the timeless city of Pisa and wraps up in Forte dei Marmi.  Here, an event within the event: the final skill trial will be held at La Canniccia Motor Club, a tropical garden oasis featuring a large paddock and an ideal track for the closing festivities and award ceremony. Canossa is proud to inaugurate the “New Canniccia,” a revival of the celebrated nightclub now transformed into a premiere hospitality and dining venue.
