EACTAIC is excited to announce two new subspecialty committees: 1.Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) and Multimodal Pain Subspecialty Committee This committee will cover all aspects of ERAS pathways, multimodal analgesia, and locoregional anesthesia, aiming to optimize perioperative care and improve patient outcomes. Notably, the ERAS Committee will work closely with the ERAS® Cardiac Society to ensure alignment and collaborative progress in ERAS initiatives across Europe. 2. Sustainability Subspecialty Committee This committee will focus on sustainability practices in cardiothoracic anesthesiology and intensive care, seeking to reduce the environmental footprint of our field and promote sustainable practices in healthcare delivery. We invite all interested EACTAIC members to join these committees and contribute their expertise to these important causes.
